    They have the mock school house next door to the powder magazine. They do that just for the convenience of the tour. It wasn’t really there. It was on the other side of the citadel. On the tour we just walked by the school. So I went back to that one later as well. At that point my guide from earlier was there playing the part of teacher.

    I went back later to take better pics that’s when I saw the second firing demonstration.

    Next we went to the Black powder magazine where the black powder black powder was stored. If you needed black powder you would get a barrel out of there, Take it to shifting room and Get your pouch filled. They had to roll the barrels every day. I believe that was due to humidity.

    Tour guide representing soldiers wives who lived and worked here. The Fort took 28 years to build. Was Supposed to be 6. Then we saw a firing display. I got to see it twice because i was close by during another tour later.

    While I was waiting for the 11:05 tour (I got there 10:35), I went into the little museum they have at the information center and watched a short film.

    I had heard there was an 11:05 tour. I wish I would have known the guard changed every hour. By the time I figured out this was going on, it was too late by the time I got over there. So if you do this I recommend getting there for the 11am guard change. Then hop over to the 11:05 tour. That’s going to end with the noon gun…which only happens once a day.

    I walked across to that barracks which has a museum in an information center. There’s supposed to be a tour starting soon from the information center.

    We’re pulling off. No pipers. They must be off Sunday

    In the back are a couple of cells. This used to be a short term jail.

    This is a well where they used to get their water from.

    The changing of the guard is every hour. The ones on break are in this room. You can come in here and talk to the off-duty ones. I did get a changing of the guard and on that one it’s this female guard leaving the post.

    Where? Even on Sunday? The citadel didn’t have any on Sunday I know.

    Yeah I don’t remember it on our splendor cruise but that’s what they’re selling us.

    Apparently we’re still a few people shy and there’s some Canadian law that there can only be one bar open per deck so the only bars on this ship that are open are atrium, Carnivale, rococo…maybe serenity. at 6:15pm. Hard to find a place to sit. Hard to get a drink.

    Yeah it’s not working. I don’t know if it went bad or if I grabbed the wrong one.

    Ticket booth. I didn’t get the price list but adult was like 12-12-13 CAD. I think kids were free. Like I said I got foreign transaction alerts on so I see everything I charge and make sure nothing bad is going on. It came through as $9.39 American.
