  1. We had no towel animals. Very disappointed!!! I'm sure the girls (both 11) would have enjoyed them!! We learned a very valuable lesson....do not pay extra for a large balcony cabin!!!! We were in 8112, one of 4 large balconies. Super excited for this balcony room, had 2 chairs, large table and 2 lounge chairs....could have had more!! Could hardly use it...while sailing too windy, even in Seattle, that day was breezy and ruined it for us. Wanted to use it for glacier day...didn't last, until they slowed down and did the rotate thing. We were so disappointed, as we seriously paid a lot extra for this room and with mom being cane assisted, it was a chore to get to the room!!! Such a long walk to room and let's not even begin to discuss elevators!!!
  2. It was so fun. although our team had it butt kicked!!!
  3. We were on this sailing and had our door decorated. We were also on deck 8, last cabin in front of ship, so hardly anyone could see it, until glacier day and they opened employees section to upper deck so a ton of people saw them!!
  4. On port days, in addition to Value pricing, the spa offers specials. Multiple mini treatments for a fixed price.
  5. We were on the same cruise....wish I had known you were sailing at same time, we could have met up!!! Great cruise and can't wait to see your TR!!!! See how they compare!!!
  6. On roll call and someone posted about duck hiding on ship. This is new to me and they didn't respond. Does anyone know about this??? I'm sailing to Alaska with 2 almost 12 yr olds and if it's a thing, surely they would enjoy it. Thank you in advance!!!
  7. So, looking at a city trolley tour and getting dropped off at Creek Street. Do they have taxi service or uber that can take you back to the ship? Mom has mobility issues but refuses a wheelchair. Thanks in advance!!!
  8. We are looking at the city trolley tour. My question for you is, if you get dropped off at Creek St, are they taxis or Uber you can get to take you back to ships? My mom is not a great walker, but refuses wheel chair, so need advice. Thanks in advance!!!
  9. From what I have found, it will be fine for Canada, but other destinations it would not work.
  10. From what I've found, it's fine for Canada. Looks like other destinations, like asia, that would not work.
  11. We are just driving over from eastern Washington.
  12. Does anyone know if hotels near Pier 66 or that do a stay/park offer?? We use to do that at some airport hotel by SeaTac, but wondering about a cruise??? Thank you in advance!!!
  13. Are any of the shows on the Joy kid friendly?? I guess we are looking at Footloose (would never let 11 yr old daughter watch yet, remember some scenes not great for her to see) also, Elements? Not sure what that one is about. She's been to a few prior on the Jewel that were ok, but not sure if these are too grown up for 11 yr old. Thanks in advance!!!
  14. We knew about the notarized letter as last time we sailed to Alaska, had to have not yet to be ex-husband sign a paper and have that notiarized. Her friends parents are both aware and know that we'll need that form again. I was just worried, as somewhere along the line, I've read about passports expiring. We got her's before our cruise in 2015 and children's are only good for 5 yrs, not 10 like adults. Next step will be contacting NCL directly and make sure all of our ducks are in a row!! I do thank you for your quick reply!!! And going above and beyond to actually look at the State department website...very generous of you!!! Many thanks again!!!
