  1. Hello all,

My family and I are sailing on Harmony of the Seas on April 8th, which is the Western Caribbean itinerary. I have been to Cozumel twice, having done the Chankanaab excursion with Allure and Playa Mia with Liberty. We had originally booked the Playa Mia excursion again for our upcoming Harmony cruise, only to have it cancelled by Royal. We did enjoy Chankanaab and that is a possible consideration, but we're open to options, so I decided to come to the best resource on cruise advice! That being said, does anybody on here have any recommendations as far as excursions in Cozumel? If possible, could you briefly describe the excursion and how much it cost? This will help us make a decision. Thank you all very much in advance!

  2. The muster station for Owner's Suite #14640 on Oasis is E3, which is located on Royal Promenade near/inside the Champagne Bar. Limited seating but still some available, as it may help to show up early if you prefer to sit. I hope this helped, and happy cruising! (If you haven't already sailed)

  3. Well, only you can decide what works best! However, I'll share my experience. I am 18 so while I cannot consume alcohol, my family always purchases the Royal Replensh package for the entire cruise, which means unlimited soda and virgin cocktails - and on Oasis class, that means access to the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. It may be less of a hassle just to purchase one for the whole cruise right off the bat (less time spent at Guest Services = more time enjoying your vacation), however my superior advice would be to follow your budget and do whatever you feel the most comfortable doing. I do not recall the price of my package, but I looked it up and read that it costs $22.42 per night, per guest. It's really a matter of personal preference! I hope I was able to help somewhat. Happy cruising!

  4. While I have never been on a ship that uses WOW Bands myself, I am going on Harmony in April and think it will come in quite handy. Basically, it replaces your SeaPass card. It does not have your name on it (just your muster station number) but somehow Guest Services is able to transfer it to your SeaPass account. So, it can be used to enter your stateroom, purchase beverages/packages and other onboard items, and get on/off the ship, among the other uses for the SeaPass card. I believe they are $4.99. I think it will be much more convenient when in the pool/hot tub (and slides-yay) to have it on my wrist and in sight as opposed to leaving my SeaPass card under a towel on a chair somewhere. Hope this helped! I'll be able to comment further after my cruise. Happy sailing!

  5. Hi there. I'm looking for some help with answers if possible, to a few questions about my upcoming April 29th cruise on Harmony of the Seas.

I was able to check in online recently and my Set Sail Pass indicates my Muster station as A02. Does anyone know where that Muster station is located? I believe info re this is on the back of the cabin door, but I'd like to know beforehand if possible please.

When is the Muster station drill with our Departure from Port Canaveral at 4:00 pm? How long before do they you advise to show up there?/get a seat?

What was your Muster drill like?Too crowded? No problem etc?

Unrelated, but does the English pub (forgot its name) on the Promenade serve food? I read a post saying that it was closed during someone's cruise during the 90's Dance Party. Was this true for you? If so, that's too bad as it takes away seating areas during the "show"? Any other seating spots besides Sorrentos?

Where were you located during the 90's Dance Party? Positives?/Negatives?

How early did you have to get out to the Pool deck to secure a chair before chair hogs and other passengers claim their spots? I'm trying to ideally find a spot that would give me some shade and sun but hopefully be near a pool. Is this possible? I heard they did away with the umbrellas and small tables by one pool that are on other Oasis class ships. Darn. (I couldn't get a spot there anyway last yr on Oasis)

I don't need to be poolside, but hope that my only option is not in the upper decks. What were your experiences? Good spots?

Does anyone know what night/when The Quest was on an Eastern Caribbean itinerary on Harmony? Love that show when I saw it on Oasis last year.

I'm thinking of using the Royal IQ app for its cruise compass and my cruise calendar being listed each day? (is this correct?), but will probably spring for the $7.95 per device feature to text/call my travel partner as opposed to relying on more expensive cellphone carrier plan. What was your experience like with this app and its features?

Thanks very much for your help/information.

Here to answer your questions. I have not yet been on Harmony but have been on Oasis and Allure, and am cruising on Harmony April 8th. Your muster station, A02, is located in the Vitality at Sea Fitness Center, which is all the way forward on Deck 6 and can be hard to find. I have seen my SetSail Pass as well and my station, D04, is in Studio B on Deck 4. Usually, Oasis class sails at 4:30 with muster at 4:00, and I would recommend getting to your desired sailaway location as soon as possible so you get a good spot! My family and I usually leave for our muster station at the 15-minute announcement. However, since the Fitness Center does not have seats, I don't think it will make that much of a difference in your case - just do what's comfortable for you! My recent muster on Liberty (Station B11-outside deck) was crowded like sardines, but it was tolerable. On the other hand, it wasn't stressful at all on Oasis (B02-main theater) or on Allure (F03-main dining room), as we easily found a seat. I would imagine yours may be somewhere in between, as you will have air conditioning and Oasis-class musters merely consist of a short introduction and a 10-15 minute video, which is completely painless. As for the dance party, I loved the 70s Disco night on Allure and Liberty. I am going to miss that on Harmony, but am anxious to see what the 90s party will be like! I do not recall from Allure if the pub was closed or not during the party, but do recall the Promenade being extraordinarily crowded and we sometimes had a hard time seeing the action due to the crowds (this was more of an issue on Liberty) so if you do plan to go to the pub during this event, be aware it may be a pain just to get to it! If you want to go to the party itself, this is another event I would recommend showing up early for to guarantee a good spot- I was situated by the Rising Tide Bar and had a good view most of the time. Seating is hard to come by during this event. The same idea about showing up early applies with the pool, as the early risers tend to get the best spots. As far as the Beach Pool, I do believe they removed the umbrellas, however the Solarium is adults-only and has mini cabanas (in videos I've seen) in addition to an abundance of chairs and tables. The Solarium is absolutely beautiful- I will miss the pool, but am anxious to try out the new rain shower. I don't know for sure, but the Quest will likely take place on the 6th night of the cruise. I wish I could answer your question about Royal IQ, but unfortunately I have never been on a ship that uses it so I cannot comment. I hope I was able to help you out as much as possible, and more importantly, have a great cruise! You will love Oasis class.

  6. Judging by location, I can confidently tell you that the muster station for Cabin #6652 is E1, which is located on the Royal Promenade on Deck 5, right next to the Rising Tide Bar. Unfortunately, there are no seats in this area, but it is a very quick and efficient procedure. And the lifeboats are right outside on the jogging track, so you can have that sense of security as well. Hope this helped! Happy cruising.

  7. While up on Deck 15 I found that the Ultimate Abyss was open so I decided this was my one and only chance to go today.

    In line for the Abyss

Looking down while in line then at the top of the line

    IMG_6608_zpsq5rzkznp.jpg

Then it was time to go. It was a real nice ride down the slide. Hard to believe that I went 10 decks below to the Board Walk

Well now it is time to head to the Diamond Lounge for the last night and Dinner.

I can only imagine the adranaline you were feeling as you waited to go down! I am a little scared to do it on my cruise in April, but a lot of my friends want me to do it so why not- after all, you only live once! My question to you is, does it feel like a straight-down drop? Or do the twists and turns make it more bearable? Do you think myself, a chicken who is afraid of big straight-down drops, will be able to enjoy it without panicking? Thank you for your input and for taking the time to write this review, I hope you have had a great cruise! Makes me even more excited than I already am for my cruise in 50 days! Safe travels home.

  8. Great start! Ant tips for first timers to the Oasis class?

Have high expectations! Mine were very well exceeded by Oasis and Allure. I am sailing Harmony April 8th (anyone else here on that sailing?) and am very excited. Despite the large amount of people, the only times you really feel it are right after the shows, during big events (such as parades and parties), and immediately after muster. Many say it is a smart idea after shows to sit in the theater for a little bit and wait for the crowd to clear out, however I like to get out and enjoy the ship so I just deal with it! Same with the post-muster situation - if you tell me your location on the ship I may be able to tell you where your station is and the easiest way out to get back to your cabin or directly to your sailaway location, which brings me to my next tip. There are many great areas for sailaway, such as all around the pool deck (above the pools on Deck 16), as well as the Solarium/Sundeck on Deck 14 (only Harmony has the Solarium down there), but if you want to get on the webcam make sure you do port side! My plan is to go to the back of the ship, by the sports deck and hopefully I can get on it! Whatever you choose to do during your cruise, there's so much to do onboard, and it's almost overwhelming, but in a good way! The reality is, you can't do it all in one week, but you can definitely do as much as you can - or whatever you want! Definitely soak it in. Let me know if you have any other specific questions, it's a great ship class and you won't regret trying it out, I can promise you that!

  9. My parents are booked in 10206 (D6) on Harmony in April, with my brother and I across the hall in 10207 (C2). From what I've heard, the hump-end cabins have angled balconies, so slightly larger than the others but not as big as a D1. However, if I'm right, I think it's safe to say they're in the same general category as the D2-8's. In our case, 10206 will have a view angled more aft, as it is the aft-most cabin on the forward hump, port side. I myself am anxious to see exactly this looks like.

  10. My parents stayed in 8706 (Allure)

Any other comments? - Highly recommend this category for the unique experience. Deck 8 is highly sought-after due to being the Central Park deck. This was very convenient and relaxing.

Any other comments? - Great size and location, close to everything. No noise in this cabin.

  14. It all depends on your location. When I was on the Allure two years ago I had B2 cabin 8707 on Deck 8. This room was almost directly above the carousel, which meant constant ringing of the bell with the noise traveling into my cabin. While I was still able to faintly hear it with the balcony door closed, I believe that was only due to my close proximity, as I was also on the lowest deck of BW balcony cabins. I have heard recommendations to go as far aft as possible, as those are closer to the AquaTheater and the noise usually doesn't last late into the night- this was also the case with the bell, so being a heavy sleeper on cruises, this trip was no exception as it was quiet at night. It is also commonly stated on here to try to go for Deck 10-11 as these are not too high and not too low, therefore you are getting minimal noise from the Boardwalk below and Sports Deck above. That makes sense to me, although I cannot comment personally as I have not stayed in a BW balcony on either of those decks. That being said, I did love my cabin and would stay in it again in a heartbeat, as I loved the views of the action. I'm going on Harmony in April and am booked in C2 cabin 10207 on Deck 10 with a balcony view of Central Park, so this time around I get the serene view, which I also suspect I will very much enjoy. That way I can say I've stayed in cabins with views of both of the unique neighborhoods. Hope this helped!

  15. Ship: Harmony of the Seas

    Deck: 10

    Stateroom #: 10206

    Port or Starboard: Port

    Area of Ship: Midship

    Connecting: No

    Muster Station: D4- Studio B, Deck 4

    Sailing Date: April 2017 (Parents)

Comments: Have not stayed in this cabin, will be across the hall in 10207 when my parenrs stay in this cabin during our upcoming cruise. Aft-most cabin on the port side forward hump, so balcony is slightly bigger but not nearly as big as some of the other hump balconies. Appears to be centrally located with easy access to everything.

  16. Ship: Harmony of the Seas

    Deck: 10

    Stateroom #: 10207

Category: C2- Central Park View w/ Balcony

    Port or Starboard: Port

    Area of Ship: Midship

    Connecting: No

    Muster Station: D4- Studio B, Deck 4

    Sailing Date: April 2017

Comments: Cannot comment specifically as I have not yet stayed in this cabin, but will in April and am currently posting information I know about the cabin. Likely to be very quiet and peaceful being on Central Park and on the lowest level of Central Park balconies, farthest from the pool deck. Good location about halfway from the Pool & Sports Zone and the entertainment of the Boardwalk and Royal Promenade, and serene Central Park.

  17. Ship: Liberty of the Seas

    Deck: 7

    Stateroom #: 7297

    Category: PR- Promenade View

    Port or Starboard: Starboard

    Area of Ship: Midship

    Connecting: No

Muster Station: B11- Starboard Side Promenade Deck, Deck 4

    Sailing Date: March-April 2016

Comments: The first cabin on Deck 7 past the bridge in the very center of the Promenade (forward half, starboard side). Very unique to experience all the action right from my window, and watch all the events taking place below. Couch in picture window was a bonus. Decent location.

  18. Ship: Allure of the Seas

    Deck: 8

    Stateroom #: 8706

Category: D7- Superior Oceanview w/ Balcony

    Port or Starboard: Starboard

    Area of Ship: Aft

    Connecting: No

Muster Station: F3- Main Dining Room, Deck 5

    Sailing Date: March 2015 (Parents)

Comments: Fantastic ocean views from balcony. Relatively close to elevators and Central Park. Great deck to book if you enjoy strolling through the park on a regular basis.

  19. Ship: Allure of the Seas

    Deck: 8

    Stateroom #: 8707

Category: B2- Boardwalk View w/ Balcony

    Port or Starboard: Starboard

    Area of Ship: Aft

    Connecting: No

Muster Station: F3- Main Dining Room, Deck 5

    Sailing Date: March 2015

Comments: Breathtaking views of the Boardwalk below. Could easily see the AquaTheater shows from the balcony, and fun to walk through Central Park as it is on the same deck. Not too far from elevators. Would highly recommend this cabin or any Boardwalk balcony as the views are magnificent. The only warning I will give is that you will hear some noise at night, but very faint. Overall a fabulous room.

  20. Ship: Oasis of the Seas

    Deck: 7

    Stateroom #: 7140

Category: D8- Superior Oceanview w/ Balcony

    Port or Starboard: Port

    Area of Ship: Forward

    Connecting: No

Muster Station: B2- Opal Theater, Deck 4

    Sailing Date: March 2014 (Parents)

Comments: Balcony relatively close to the water provided for up-close ocean views. Centrally located between the major neighborhoods. Great deck to be on.

  21. Ship: Oasis of the Seas

    Deck: 7

    Stateroom #: 7141

    Stateroom Category: N- Large Interior

    Port or Starboard: Port

    Area of Ship: Forward

    Connecting: No

Muster Station: B2- Opal Theater, Deck 4

    Sailing Date: March 2014

Comments: Functional for the price. Was able to easily hold all essentials and worked great considering the cabin is used for pretty much just sleeping and showering. One deck below Central Park, one deck above the Boardwalk and two decks above the Royal Promenade. Great location.

  22. Nevermind. Sorry. Now I see. Set Sail Pass, not Cruise docs.

    Got it. Mine is G04

Set sail pass is correct. Mine had a large "D4" printed on the front page and it said that was my muster station. Yours is in the Aqua Theater- my parents across the hall have their station listed as D04, just know it's the same thing with or without the extra zero. More than likely your SeaPass that you get when boarding will list your muster station as just G4. Enjoy!
