Wasn’t charged any VAT for specialty dining in France or Spain.
Really? It should be 10% on food..
Tomorrow we have our specialty dining, would be great if there's no extra charge. I'll post it here 😁

What's your itinerary ? Where have you started and finishing your cruise ?
We start and end in France (Marseille), going to Spain and Italy

On the epic now and it's a bit worse than expected.
Vat on the cruise, the whole cruise and nothing but the cruise 🙄
20% on all shop items and alcoholic beverages
10% on all non alcoholic beverages and food (a la carte items and specialty dining)
We have some obc that we planned to use in starbucks, but we'll need it for the vat instead.
We received the info on paper during check-in and it's mentioned in the daily.

Is there an outside smoking area near Eden on Deck 5.
If so, on which exact location?
Thanks in advance -
No, you'll have to check the links i provided for detailed information :)
-
It was regular OBC.
-
It was on the journey on august 29th.
My parents still had OBC left when they disembarked and the full amount was charged.

You can buy the ticket from the driver or in the vending machines at the metro.
If you only need it one way, you might be better off taking regular public transportation. If you walk around town, you can take a metro from Monastiraki to port and then move onto a bus (for only 1.8€)
Check googlemaps or http://oasa.gr/?id=ind3ex&lang=en for more detailed schedules :)
-
If you take the metro, your ticket is valid for 90 minutes so you can hop onto a bus that goes to the port for 1.8€. You can check googlemaps or the greek public transport site for numbers and schedules.

If you want to extend your last day onboard, that will be charged on your credit card. OBC cannot be used for this.

From the outline of the process I posted awhile back:
3. Who Receives the Email: the email notifying availability of E-Docs will be sent to the email address noted on the reservation' date=' which can be either the Guest or the Travel Agent. [/quote']
This process didn't work us either.
We didn't receive an e-mail, nor did we receive the e-documents on My Azamara.
They were on the My Azamara page last cruise together with the express pass, so we knew where to look. This year the e-docs never appeared, not even after multiple online check-ins ;-)
We printed out the land discoveries booklet before booking, so we had all the info we needed on paper.
But it is yet another example of how big of a contrast there is between service onboard and service pre/after sales.

We flew out Venice yesterday with SN Brussels Airlines.
The check-in only opened an hour before check-in time, so no need to hurry :)

We were a full day in Mykonos, so in the morning we explored the town and located and the bus stop. After lunch we went to the agios ionnis beach to snorkel and relax.
Walk up the hill towards the windmills and keep them on your right.
That road is called Xenias and will lead you to the square with the busstop.
When you see the gelateria I scream on your left side, you're almost there.
Make sure to stop there on your way back, they have great ice (s)cream :-)
The bus costs 1.8€ one way and you can buy your ticket at the booth or on the bus.
We went to agios ioannis, the bus drops you off at the end point (rocky beach) with no facilities. You can ask to be dropped off at the beach area, but you need to walk down the hill to the beach. The bus stops in front of Ornos beach (more facilities, but more crowdy). Just look at googlemaps which area you prefer.

Both M3 (subway to Monastiraki) or X95 (express bus to Syntagma square) are direct lines from the airport and in walking distance to your hotel.
We took the X95 two weeks ago (6€ per person, busride was almost an hour) with one big trolley and handluggage.
There was a luggage area which filled up pretty fast and there were lots of travellers on our bus, so not everyone got to sit.
The metro is a bit closer for your hotel and i think it might be more comfortable than a bus.
-
We used it two weeks ago. It runs approximately twice an hour (schedule can be found on link that insanemagnet posted)
At the busstop at syntagmasquare and the airport a digital sign mentions when the next bus will arrive.

If you would have to choose, which will it be
We will be tendered near the old town and will have a view on the walls.
I read that the views during the hike up mount Srd are spectacular, so those views seem to be more interesting to us than the ones from the wall.
And we will get to walk off some onboardcalories ;)

Thanks Bonnie,
the e-mail has been sent :-)

Only a thought, you mention fees and taxes the only fees and taxes added here in the UK are port taxes and they should be the same wherever you book in the World. Could it be that there are some Australian taxes (such as VAT) that other markets are not subject too that makes your price that much higher?
I think this varies per country, probably based on local taxes
For example, taxes, fees & port expenses for a specific cruise in september:
Azamara lists 87$
local TA lists 345€ (approx. 390$)
Last year my parents and sister's cruise got cancelled on very short notice.
They were compensated with a cruise where they only needed to pay for the port taxes and fees.
My sister just got back from the Journey and my parents are on it now.
They had to pay somewhere between 300 and 400 euros for the fees&taxes.
So the compensation would be better if they lived in another country

No problem Bonnie, take your time.
Thank you for looking into this!

This has nothing to do with my post anymore..
The point is that we booked with Azamara - which was cheaper than via TA (this is only the case for some itineraries based an special promotions) - and that Azamara does not provide the service that we expect from them!
-
TA works different in our country.
All prices should be transparant, hidden costs or hidden discounts are not allowed.
This makes it easy for us to check where we can book at the best price.
If it's a TA,we will book via them.
If the best price is from Azamara, we book with them.
When we receive an email stating that they will contact us to finalize booking and payment, we expect Azamara to deliver that service!
Too bad Bonnie hasn't picked up this thread yet...
and still no response on the emails we have sent to Azamara
I'm still hopeful to get a response before our cruise next week, so we don't have to discuss this onboard with sales and LCV representative..

the office did offer to book the trips for us (not a B2B but two separate trips), however, we would be discarding the stated $150 OBC online booking bonus for a total of $300.
We had screenshots of our online booking and the mentioned on board credit.
After sending this screenshot as prove, the OBC was added to our account.
But all initiative had to come from us..
I totally agree with you, it shouldn't be this difficult!
The online booking system should have the same level of service that we experience onboard.
Shareperks for P and O shareholder benefit.
in P&O Cruises ( UK )

We used stockperks for the first time for a cruise later this year.
It took a 10 days to approve our shares documentation and a couple of days to approve the obc.
Can someone tell me when/where we will be able to see the obc in p&o site?
