Thank you Vistaman. We will have an overnight stay in June next year whilst on Navigator.  We are able to book excursions this May if I remember correctly. Quite a few of the offerings look interesting to us. I may well ask for your opinion nearer the time.  Jean.

We’ve enjoyed mostly all our excursions. 
Some that stand out to us are The deadliest Catch fishing boat tour At Ketchikan. It was superb. 
Taku Lodge float plane trip and salmon bake there from Juneau.

At Sitka the otter quest and whale watching was really good. 
The train trip at Skagway was really enjoyable too.

We were on Scenic Eclipse 11 in September. Definitely a luxury experience.  We had a grand deluxe verhanda suite, which we felt was similar to a Penthouse suite on Mariner.  Very well appointed suites , couldn’t fault it. Many suite inclusions that are not available on Regent. 
All restaurants are included like Regent as are beverages and excursions. The included wines and champagne better quality than Regent, and the same top quality spirits.  We are loyal to cruising with regent but look forward to booking again with Scenic.   Jean.

We were on Scenic Eclipse 11 in September. Fabulous cruise. The food was delicious and have to say I found the included wines far better quality than onboard Regent.  The bar staff in scenic lounge were very experienced there in making cocktails.  Jean.

I really enjoyed a Portuguese red Escada on Splendor. I was able to ask for this if I wasn’t too keen on the recommendation that evening. 🍷😊.  Jean. 

I agree with Gilly and Iprp re flying to Lhr and staying overnight at the Sofitel. Our nearest gateway airport is Aberdeen, which is a good 90 minutes drive. We can get the first shuttle to Lhr and then connect transatlantic if the flight is after lunchtime, but also have the option to stay fly night before and stay over.  It’s best to get all your options from your TA and work out what’s best for you.  It’s good to have a nice leasure start to your cruise.     Jean.
