You can fly. Need to get there earlier and jump thru some hoops.
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
This is true.
Have a friend who lost his wallet, ID, everything, in Las Vegas last week.
Had to jump through some hoops, but he was able to get on a plane back to Austin, TX.

I don't think your insults deserve an answer.
I'll just take that as you admitting you have nothing to contribute but hot air.
Thanks for playing.

It is just like when you are asked to pay for something on
the 'honor system'.
Some people have no honor.
You didn't answer the question.
You keep throwing out inane analogies.

to help deter infections, i try to maintain my blood alcohol level as high as possible during a cruise. So far, so good.:p
Atta-Girl!!! :)

You are invited to bring wine aboard by paying a fee.
If you skirt the fee, you are stealing.
Just like sneaking onto a golf course and playing for free.
Exactly who is getting something stolen from them?
Please elaborate.

Have we all become a society of hysterical, germaphobe, hypochondriac ninnies?
Have any of you ever gone camping?
Backpacking?
Out in the boonies?
Dirt bike riding in the desert?
Boondocking? Exploring the wilderness?
You don't always have access to "soap and water", to "hand sanitizer"...etc...
You sometimes eat with dirty hands. That's life.
Nature intended it that way.
How has man survived all these years?
Look at the early pioneers, the cowboys, the Indian....er, ....I mean, the Native Americans.....
They survived.
Modern man may not.
I'm surprised some of you don't board the ship wearing a Tyvex suit as protection against any germs/bacteria/virus you may encounter.
All this effort at hand washing, sanitizing, etc, has degraded your immune systems so they cannot effectively fight off such maladies.
Yes, I wash my hands, when the need arises. When they are dirty.
But I'm not going overboard, I'm not dropping everything after touching a menu and washing up, touched a handrail, touched a doorknob, touched this, touched that.
If I was regularly getting sick, I might alter my behavior. I'm not.
While you're at the washroom, I'll be at the bar, having a whiskey on the rocks.
That's my germ deterrent.

So are you one of those that walks out of the restroom without washing your hands??
As I exit the restroom, my wife will always ask..."Did you wash your hands?"
My go-to response...."I didn't get anything on them!" :D
-
They had them all over on our cruise on the Golden.
Never used them once.
I have a thing called an "immune system"
I let it do all the work.

IMHO, I think if you both purchase the AIDP you should be able to bring whatever liquor you want onboard as long as it is consumed in your cabin so you can't share.
Yes, at $56.35 per person, per day.......
..and the fact that you can't just purchase it for a day, but you have to purchase it for every day of the cruise....
Total of $450.80
You damn right I'm bringing everything I can on board.....(and we kept it for ourselves) :D

If you were leaving a store, would you just walk past the cash
register if you could get away with it?
How is what you did any different?
Really? REALLY????
It's COMPLETELY different.
-
We brought a case of bottled water on board.
Wrapped around it once or twice with duct tape to reinforce, affixed a luggage tag with clear packing tape so it was easily read.
Dropped off with checked luggage.
It was delivered to cabin with other checked bags.
Easy Peasy! :D

Why would you encourage someone to break the rules:(
Are we still hung up on this thought process?

Been watching this thread, and I just gotta say...
As a former auto/truck mechanic, refrigeration mechanic, marine mechanic, and lifetime tinkerer......
Compared to reading about which wine to sneak onboard, what's on the menu in the MDR, what kind of towel animal did you get, what color high heel shoes will go with my formal dinner gown........etc.......
THIS is THE most interesting thread I've ever read on Cruise critic!!

We just cruised on the Golden at the end of Sept.
4 day California coastal.
For "testing purposes" we brought liquor in our checked bags, using three different methods.
They all made it through. :D
As others have said, they have to scan over 4,000 pieces of luggage, and then get it to your cabin, within a 4 hour time frame, (or less)
They definitely aren't going to catch everything.
PS - We also purchased the all inclusive drink package on board.
Hey, I work hard, I'm gonna play hard.
-
We just did a 4-day on the Golden and purchased the all inclusive beverage package on board at the bar down in the Piazza.
I was told you can purchase it at any bar on board during the cruise.
Max amount of drinks.

You can't drink all day if you don't start drinking in the morning! 🤪😎🍸🍺
