Awesome! Have funWe go on Horizon a week today and have 2480, will try and take photos and post on here -
There are partitions. Yes I believe you saw a pre-cruise finishings. I have one on horizon in July! Are all the balconies open to the next cabins? I am looking at the videos available online and it looks like there is no privacy. Am I correct in this or were the videos made before the extra partitions went up?Thanks in advance

Make sure the cove is not under the galley if you do take it.

I have an aft balcony for horizon and was wondering same thing.

Same here! Booked 3 balcony cabins in a row on Vista 7434, 7438, 7442. Interested to know if we can request to take down the balcony barrier so me and my friends from the other cabins can hang out in a much bigger balcony.
These 3 open up! As per the link
That link has every cabin and which balconies open to which rooms.
Cool link. Too many rooms lol

No prob, I was in your shoes a few weeks ago.THANK YOU, very much!! These help, tremendously! In fact, your picture also shows that there is no overhang coverage, at all, for the deck 2 aft cabins, and that does make a difference to us.I appreciate your information! :):):)
We are aft cruisers, and the Havana Afts are way out of our budget. So we jumped on the FO Afts Family Harbor. We also have a 13yo so it worked out fine.
We can deal with the shade or lack thereof. Nothing beats that aft view at sunset or sunrise.

I made a thread with these pics a few weeks ago. Here they are again! 7/31 sailing here!
There is a video of the railing. It's white metal rails with wood top.(looks like it will have wood top)
The deck sticks out pretty far past the balcony rail(balconies aren't as big as I hoped...)
I'll try to find vid ..found it.. It's mislabeled as a suite but it's an FO catagory aft balcony.
ENJOY!

We really enjoyed it. We didn't do vip. But had the time of our lives. But the cheapest photo package, they come in the mail and are great.

We do not have affordable parking near the terminal. They consider the hummer oversized. Honestly the best thing you can do is find a cheap parking across the river in Jersey. Then uber to the terminal.
We live in Queens and uber over.
Parking is nuts in the city for 8 days.

We are aft people, I can't imagine being anywhere else. We are longtime NCL cruisers but trying Carnival in July, going with a couple of other families. First time cruising with friends.
We have an aft on the new Horizon. We had aft on Breakaway, HUGE

We are in Family Harbor on the Horizon in July. We usually book aft balconies and were happy they are under the end of the dining room. We are excited for the use of he lounge and having our aft too. Havana Afts are way too much for our budget.. they look super nice.

2 insides are the only combo that will save you money. I've worked it out on several mock bookings on several ships. All the same 2x2 inside is cheaper than 4x1 inside. No other catagory will give discount.

We love the aft, we book aft balconies. I find the motion to be different than the forward. Instead of going up and down, aft goes side to side. I hardly feel movement. IMHOWe're last minute booking so our options are limited :( Basically we have deck 7 or deck 8 aft balconies or to keep our deck 7 interior midshipSent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app

Great move, have fun! Thanks for the responses. I don’t have that many cruises to have known the promotional deals and I should have slowed down and read the fine print. With that said, I bit the bullet and upgraded to a guaranteed room. Lesson learned [emoji736]Sent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app

"I kind of feel downgraded for selecting a promotional deal'
Not downgraded, but you agree to whatever they have left. Nothing to worry about, you received exactly what you paid for.
Be happy! You have a cruise booked!!

Not true, 2 insides with 2 and 2 is cheaper than one with for INSIDE Onlyaverages between 60-100 cheaper. Go figure. No other combo is cheaper , just inside/insideI have done that. It’s definitely cheaper with all 4 in one cabin. :( I just asked my girls a hypothetical question. “Would u rather cruise every 2 years with a balcony or every year with an inside cabin?” They chose every 2 years. Spoiled! When I change it to ocean view every year they choose that. :confused:Sent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app
I just did a mock booking on an interior of the Horizon cruise in july.
1 interior 4 ppl $4137.60
2 interior 2/2 -$4077.60
But when I did this for 2 balconies it was $300 more.

Nice peek. Wish they could've made balcony a bit bigger. No lounger no shade. I'm 2 rooms over. Can't wait!

I'm not going to worry too much about the noise. Sometimes you read the reviews and second guess your decision.
That's a great pic btw. I'm thinking I might switch cabins to the starboard side(??) if it's still available. I like being able to see the Statue of Liberty from my cabin.
Then you miss the Manhattan side hehe. That's why u need the aft! Just kiddin lol

We love booking aft-balconies. Getting the family harbor iis just some icing on top. The only other aft balconies are in the Havana Club and they are so so expensive.
Carnival Internet-can we watch Youtube?
