  1. On the surface, this appears to be a break even game.  All the quarters put in will eventually fall out.  Right?

Not so.  What I observed was a significant number of quarters falling off the sides of the visible area before coming down to the payout area in the middle (I hope this makes sense).

Having said that, the game is fun and you may luck out and win a bill.

D+ will get you gold status on MSC. Very easy to do.

We are D+, and are trying MSC Meraviglia out of Brooklyn this October.

Those are the dates I'm considering as well.  I see the status match requires an RCCL membership card.  Would our last Sea Pass Card be accepted?

Can I assume the status match does not include the five free drinks or two days of free internet?

  3. Royal's outrageous prices have led me to consider trying MSC.   Prices are a lot more reasonable and sailing from Brooklyn is certainly more appealing to us than Bayonne.  In addition, friends have highly recommended MSC for their entertainment and food.

I know MSC has a status match with RCCL.  What exactly would it mean for a D+?

Any other helpful hints or suggestions for booking with MSC would be greatly appreciated.

I have read all of the reponses, and here is my input.

I once had 6310, the last cabin aft on that hallway.  HORRIBLE.  But YOUR cabin?  No problem.  I would book that in a heartbeat.

MM... thanks for the info.  Just curious, why do you say 6310 was HORRIBLE?

We were recently in 6254 (guaranteed balcony) on Anthem’s October TA. We found that room to be quiet. Being rather close to Cafe 270 was nice for breakfast. Yes, the balcony views are obstructed on deck 6, but the room was very nicely apportioned and its location on the ship was perfect. We felt that it was a lucky draw for a guaranteed room. I hope you have the same positive experience we had.

Thank you so much for your comments.  We leave on Friday so I'll post an update when we return.

The tipping on a cruise is a rip off and the cruise company keeps a portion of it.

So you are accusing RCCL, a major multi-national corporation of lying and theft?  Do you have any proof that the tips are not going to the staff?
