Glad you agree that there is sexist content in the musical. Is the musical itself sexist? The test is whether the sexist content is accepted as normative behavior or challenged. The entire play and especially the ending makes it clear. Sexist behavior is not only accepted but celebrated. So is the musical itself sexist? Absolutely.

C'mon... to excuse the blatant sexism in Grease by comparing it to Cats is simply nonsense. The whole story line of Grease revolves around women's inferiority and need for male domination.

Sure, it's easier to understand. Very simply... women are dependent on men and simply objects of male gratification. Sandy surrenders her identity and morals for finding her male savior. Sorry, the lyrics and story line in Cats may be difficult to follow but at least it does not attribute an inferior and dependent place to female felines.

How about attacking Grease, a story totally based on stereotypical sexism?

The London production ran for 21 years and 8,949 performances, while the Broadway production ran for 18 years and 7,485 performances, making Cats the longest-running musical in both theatre districts for a number of years. Looks like a good number of folks really liked it.

Anyone else remember the days when, as a D+, you could get a hot breakfast or lunch (along with wine or beer) while enjoying the view of the Aqua Theatre? Never crowded, simply a quiet place to enjoy a meal. But then RCCL decided to "enhance" the experience by closing the doors to D+. Ah, the "old days!"

Not always smooth. We were on the March 27 cruise and, after parking the car, had to wait on a line to board that actually stretched all the way into the parking garage. Part of the problem was people arriving before their assigned time. It was a mess.

... and possibly endanger others.

I'll offer another perspective... if you are having doubts, listen to your inner voice. The UDP is an expensive addition, especially when you consider that your cruise cost already includes food. How about a compromise? You don't say how long your cruise is but, if it's seven nights, do specialty dining two or three times (possibly doing lunch to reduce the cost). I will also say that we find the food in the MDR to be fine, plenty of choice. Another factor to consider is the volume of food in the specialty restaurants. We ate in Hooked on a recent cruise and left stuffed. Too much food. There's no way we would have considered doing specialty every night. Anyway, just some food for thought.

Just a heads up. Pack some basics in your carry on. Our daughter just returned from a European cruise (Copenhagen) and KLM didn't deliver their luggage until six days later.

Yes, in the scene almost all the passengers were smoking and seemingly enjoying it.
