  1. Dad bought his brand new in 1964. It was the first new car he ever owned. The day he bought it he picked me up after school, I was waiting in the queue for the bus to go home. I thought "Wow". I have always thought the EH was the best ever Holden. A few years later he traded it in for the worst ever - a HD.
  2. My dad had one too. EH 179 wagon.
  3. The "muster" plates were a giveaway. Next. An easy one.
  4. For those not familiar with foil sailing here is a short vid of the basics. Generally, most of the time, I am moving at about the same speed as a cruise ship.
  5. Welcome back Lyle. I'm up early this morning. Went to bed early last night sore and dog tired and woke up still sore - all over. Reason? I had a fantastic Sunday afternoon foiling on the lake. With an often gusty 15-18 knot ENE blowing it was almost perfect for my foil board hitting almost 20 knots at times, but, unfortunately, a couple of the gusts got the better of me and I got slammed, hard, and now my 75 year old body is paying for it. Any how, I left the water grinning from ear to ear knowing I'd had a great time and I'm still alive. Up until a week ago I had been suffering the effects of a recurrence of rhuematoid arthritis which was settled with a 5 day course of prednisone until I get another appointment with my rhuematologist.
  6. Thank you. Stopped by there on our Panama cruise. Next pic.
  7. They look like "reef" shoes. Shoes or feet, you don't know where either have been or what's growing in/on them.
  8. Some posters, on the HAL board, have very thin skins which somehow results in very twisted knickers. AKA crybabies
  9. Taking food back to cabin? OK for salad eaters as anything that was warm when plated will be cold. Yuk. Another tea or coffee? Long walk. Crowded? Choose a different time. I have never been unable to find two free seats (self and friend) within a couple of minutes in Lido. People are coming and going all the time.
  10. For those who don't already know, Lyle has been red carded so he'll be taking a sabatical.
  11. My 83 year old mum suddenly passed away when my wife and I, and two friends, were on tour in Vietnam. I flew home for her funeral in Brisbane then back to Vietnam to catch up with with my wife and friends. It all went smoothly.
  12. This twigged a memory cell. What happened to the Microsoft classrooms? I would often go to the lectures to brush up my computer skills.
  13. Sorry to hear. Please pass on my condolences to Lynn. I received an email from a mate of mine this morning to say his wife passed yesterday from myeloma and my friend Tony, who was with me in Canada, messaged me that her aunt in Queensland died, would have been 102 next month. I'm due for my annual (March) blood test for myeloma.
