  1. You can try booking onboard. Otherwise There will be a line for people who don’t have reservations and any empty seats will be given away about 10mins before the show starts. Get there early if you’re in that line.
  2. Didn’t see Chilla Thrilla on coco cay. They had red stripe and sands. just off Oasis, they had funky Buddha listed at playmakers, but not all of it in stock. There were a lot of beers and wines listed that they didn’t have. Beers they did have were stone IPA, terrapin luau krunkles, funky Buddha Floridian, terrapin hopsecutioner.
  3. Saw the same issue on FB regards drinks packages - they were told they would honour the price ( and have that in writing). May be worth trying to speak to someone else?
  4. It was very clean and mostly well maintained - one or two areas that needed some work. And obviously had some updates during the amplification in 2019. We have just booked Wonder for 2023 - based on the itinerary, it’s oasis class and the bonus is its newer!
  5. We have cruised in Anthem previously but now prefer oasis class.
  6. It wasn’t that there were long lines, we got seated quite quickly. But there was a very long wait for the food to actually be delivered.
  7. In Europe most do. I was responding to those who said it never has bechamel in it.
  8. So we just travelled on oasis for the first time and loved it - it hits our sweet spot! Observations were: It’s big but doesn’t feel too big. We like the amount and variety of things to do (OH gets bored easily) whilst still being able to chill out. MDR was fine, we had MTD with reserved times. Never waited more than 10 minutes, and the only time we waited that long was lobster night, when it seemed busier than usual. Dining took about an hour on average. Quality was inconsistent, ranging from ok to outstanding ( grand marnier soufflé was a highlight). OH had steak in the MDR twice and said it was excellent and better than his steak in chops. Chops was underwhelming - appetisers and desserts were good, steak was under seasoned. 150 Central Park was excellent. Breakfast everywhere was a bit of a sh*tshow. Long waits in MDR and Johnny Rockets, items missing. No speciality coffee available in MDR (said the machine was broken and stayed that way). Last morning just went to Park Cafe, long lines and a manager decided it would be appropriate to take a (long and complicated) order for the people at the back of the queue and prioritise it over everyone else queuing- did not go down well with those of us who had already been waiting 30 mins. Check in and debarkation was a breeze. Aqua 80 was brilliant and the comedians were good. Overall didn’t feel crowded other than in the casino. Service was generally good with some stars (Edy and Dean in vintages and our cabin attendant Jingwal in particular). We were front deck 10 in an ocean view balcony and it was very quiet.
  9. Lasagna does have bechamel in it https://www.insidetherustickitchen.com/classic-beef-lasagne-spinach-pasta/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/WPcap/2000-02/16/001r-021600-idx.html
  10. We had Chops +1, they booked chops and then we had to book the +1 when we boarded. We boarded in the first group and had first choice of restaurant and day, but had to be flexible on time.
  11. She wasn’t a Tiffany heiress, she owns the Tiffany outlets in Turkey. Her jewellery has also gone missing. https://metro.co.uk/2022/11/08/sea-plunge-of-tiffany-jewellery-tycoon-71-17715331/amp/ All outlets I have seen are implying foul play, not an accident
  12. I didn’t read it as being anti-cruises per se, just the amount of people onboard and the visual appearance. I have to say, I’m not a fan - too big and too busy for me - but variety is the spice of life!
  13. U.K. press not too friendly https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/nov/08/i-name-this-ship-human-lasagne-the-worlds-biggest-cruise-ship-goes-viral-for-all-the-wrong-reasons?utm_term=636b33d4cdbaf80f2afddfd00934305c&utm_campaign=GuardianTodayUK&utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&CMP=GTUK_email
  14. I think I read somewhere that if there’s no lines they let you in, but if it’s busy and lines are forming they will make you wait for your slot?
  15. Actually I live in Europe and some hotels do have them, just not all.
  16. There’s been recent reports that RC didn’t renew the contract and crown had disappeared from their ships
  17. Did you actually read the comment I was replying to?
  18. Does Oasis have face cloths in the bathrooms (or can I request from the cabin steward)?
  19. Ships are sailing full now from what I hear!
  20. I don’t believe it was taken away due to cost. It made sense when lots of people were having to cancel cruises last minute due to covid. They would have booked shows and then wouldn’t turn up, so their spaces wouldn’t be able to be used by someone else. Now that the number of last minute cancellations will be small, they are starting to resume normal service. The only one ranting here is you, about a change which you admit is a positive one 🤷🏼‍♀️
  21. It says for onboard credit it must be redeemed up to 10 days before the cruise
  22. No but you can exchange for onboard credit, but have to do it before the cruise
