Not sure if it is still operational, but you can take a local bus #10 to the resort. It is not a bad trip and a lot cheaper than a cab. The casino is beautiful and did pay well.

Crepes are usually available in Windjammer on French night.

When you use the app for Next cruise, does it give you a certificate number and are you able to print it for your records?

I am on the Adventure at this time. For her age, I think she is in good condition. Dinner in the MDR last night was very good. The service was excellent and the Prime Rib was pretty good. Breakfast in Winjammer had a very good omelet station The casino was not kind to me, but the guy sitting beside me had two hand pays in a 15 minute time span. The ice show was worth seeing, but the Allure spoiled me last week. If you have any questions, I will try and answer them for you

I agree on using the small casino for the smoking and let the non smokers enjoy clean air. I smoked in the past, and don’t know how I survived.

Mariner of the Seas is looking good. I think they have most of the decorations up.

I just departed the Wonder of the Seas this morning. I felt the MDR food and service has improved from past cruises. The strip steak was actually pretty good. The Windjammer was OK. I felt the Independence and Wonder are much better. The Aqua show was the best of the four Oasis ships I have been on and the ice show was outstanding. The CL had the best coffee machine with really hot cappuccinos. I realize we each have our own opinions, but I am planning on a lot of cruises on this ship and glad she is in Port Canaveral

I just received my assigned cabin on Wonder thirty days out. I had used the bar code trick, and it was what I had been assigned for a guaranteed balcony.

I too followed TravelBluebird and loved her review. I was traveling solo, so I am not sure about a guest in the events. The nightly drawings were for everyone with the normal required points. The casino was very crowded at night and quite smoky. They did have a slot tournament that was fun and no entry fee. I did not go to the Mason Jar, but have read mixed reviews. I am sure you will have a wonderful cruise and will be following

I was on the Oct 1 Signature cruise and it was quite nice. They took good care of us and had special events. The weather, not so much. Storm Philippe was a pain from boarding until the 4th day. The large ship had some movement and affected some cruisers. I loved it and slept great in my comfortable bed. The ship is in good condition, and the food was pretty good. My only complaint was with my casino points certificate. The last morning, the host printed me a certificate with $500 FP. I went to next cruise paid the $200 deposit and felt good about the process. When I went to book my cruise, they said I only had $250 FP. I have scanned them the paperwork, but can’t get a response. Not too happy at this point. if anyone has any questions, please get back to me and I will try and answer them.

Not sure if this is true, but Victory Casino said PC was closed to all marine traffic.

Has the closure affected any of your sailings? I am on the Independence and hope we arrive back on time on Friday.

Thank you for all the replies to my post. I am slowly getting offers from Club Royals. I have booked three, as I only sail out of PC. I have sailed a lot on the Independence and will miss her when she moves to Miami. Not sure of how they offer the cruises, but hope they don’t stop. Please keep me updated.

I think getting to the Signature level may be a mistake. I am receiving no offers and It a bit frustrating, as I was spoiled in the slow days. I see the postings of people receiving offers, but zero for me.

it also depends on what level you are. I am Diamond Plus and love having my free drinks anytime of day. Celebrity is a good cruise line, sailed on them to Elite Plus and have enjoyed my cruises. Celebrity only has a short cocktail time for top tier, and not on embarkation day. I can’t compare food as I have not sailed Celebrity since the menu change. I agree which ship you sail would help make the decision.

The braised short ribs were so tender and delicious. I really miss them.

Just got off the Independence and asked other gamblers if they were getting free offers. Most of the ones I asked said “no” so I guess my cruising may be reduced. I did get an offer from Celebrity and it has been over a year since my last sailing with them. Best of luck and let’s hope the offers start up again.
