Did you get a email ?
I don't have it in my email.
Yes, in my email.

There's a link in the text below the credit numbers.

My FCC amounts today were exactly half what they should have been. I used the "Got Questions?" link in the email to inform them. I'm not hopeful that anything will come of that, but will give them a chance. I plan to use all of the FCC before final payment for my January cruise, so there's plenty of time to straighten it all out. Our sail date was Monday, May 11.

Define safe, OP.
I'm not afraid to cruise, fly, or go to a restaurant right now. Even before the virus these activities could result in illness, injury, or death.
So IMO it's safe to cruise today.

I received Cruise Planner refunds on 4/19 for my May 11 cruise that was canceled by Royal on 3/24.

Somehow the cruise line upgraded their TV offerings without telling anyone. I miss watching soccer highlights in Portuguese. And the set for the Love and Marriage replay looks vaguely familiar.

No chair hogs! It's a miracle! But somebody's emotional support animal keeps sitting in my favorite chair.

There has been no new cancellations announced since the last batch a couple weeks ago. This includes all cruises scheduled before, it's either May 10 or 11. I think Alaska is cancelled through June 30 and there might be a few others. It's all available on their web site. They will probably wait until the last minute before anymore cancellations, hopefully a couple of weeks before the new cancellations are scheduled to leave.
Our May 11 sailing was canceled. Currently May 12 sailings are still active.

It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future.

Will they transfer the cruise planner credit to your next sailing or is it an open credit?
Sent from my iPhone using ForumsLooks like the Cruise Planner Credit goes to whatever reservation for which you use your FCC. The Letter from Royal:
If you purchased Cruise Planner Items…
- You can opt-in to receive an Onboard Credit in the value of 125% of the total Cruise Planner purchases on your reservation.
-
Missed cruising by one day. We'll take 125% FCC and 125% credit for my Cruise Planner purchases for our May 11 booking. I'm not in a hurry to book another cruise in the next 20 months.
I have a feeling that there will be plenty of cabins available whenever I decide to book.

I heard acid flashbacks are bad, but I've never seen an acid flashforward. I don't envy you.

This is interesting. The GGG sale shows Indy sailing on May 7, 2020 on a 7-night cruise out of Port Canaveral. My Cruise Receipt shows me sailing on Indy May 11, 2020 on a 5-night cruise out of Port Everglades.

Looking closely at the midnight buffet picture, the lady in peach with the orange scarf is checking her makeup on one of those rectangular compacts that are all the rage in Paris these days.
Cruisers are so classy!

We should all talk incessantly about tips. That's never been an issue before.

Don't get your hopes up for May 11
We're driving from Nashville to see friends and tour St Augustine, plus we have family 25 minutes from Port Everglades. We'll go on vacation to Florida regardless. But I AM hoping that the Diamond Lounge happy hour in May is just me, the wife, and the bartender 🙂

We're not canceling our May 11, 2020 nor our January 9, 2021 cruises. I'm just bummed the price hasn't dropped for Jan 9.

I'm keeping my reservation for May 11 and I'd sail tomorrow if I could. I'm slightly into the at-risk group: 61 years old and a smoker. But my wife and I are in excellent health and have practiced "safe cruising" for years and have never taken ill during or after a cruise.
For some real data, we should look at what happened on the Diamond Princess. There was a perfect storm for disease and death, yet even though the passengers and crew were unwilling experimental subjects, they have done all cruisers a huge service:
83% did not contract the disease.
Slightly less than half the passengers (48.6%) who got the disease showed NO symptoms.
There were a total of 7 deaths among those on board. All of them were in people over seventy.
So 1.7% died and we know nothing of their pre-existing conditions.

With passenger prescreening, "safe cruising " practices, and a little common sense, the Diamond Princess experiment will never be repeated.
For myself and my wife, we are not scared and will live our lives accordingly. We will also practice "safe citizenship" as we practice safe cruising while at sea.

Yum, I'll have to try biltong. We were in St Augustine in January for a wedding but even though we came a couple of days early, we didn't see everything we wanted to see. Plus the bride's parents won't be too busy to visit with us this time 🙂

I think I saw that you did the Trikes in Cozumel. I think it was a good decision driving for them 🙂
Advice on Caribbean cruise

Freedom Class is just stretched Voyager Class. I suggest you take B2B 7-night cruises on Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston, TX in 2021. They alternate itineraries, one week to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan, then the next week to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Falmouth Jamaica. You can tour the Mayan ruins on one visit to Cozumel and go to a beach resort the next.
As a bonus, you can tour the Johnson Space Center (aka Houston Control), which is a 40 minute drive from Galveston, with the kids on the front- or back-end of your cruises making a 16-day Holiday for your family.
