Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for April 4, 2024. FYI. BaltimoreCruise
  2. The service was not available at Port Everglades after our October transatlantic on the Rotterdam.
  3. Oaktreerb, Thank you. Yes, our cruise tour begins on May 17. I assume that we have all day and into the evening to check-in. BC
  4. For those of you on Cruise Critic that have taken a Land and Sea tour of Alaska on Holland America where the land tour is first out of Anchorage, can you share your experience or recollections on how the first day, or report day to the hotel works? For some context, we arrive in Anchorage on May 14. On May 15 we head to Seward with stops along the way (thanks to the CC members that provided great suggestions on the AK board). We plan to return to Anchorage on May 17 leaving Seward in the early morning. I want to reserve a flight seeing, glacier landing, and dog sledding excursion. We can drive our rental, or purchase transfers from Anchorage to the airstrip and back after the excursion is over. I think we should be back in Anchorage by 5PM. At that point we have to return our rental to the airport and proceed to the hotel, or proceed to the hotel to check-in then return the car to the airport. Your comments, suggestions and experiences are appreciated. Thank you. BC
  5. Thank you Edinburgher and diesel1973 for your tips .They are very much appreciated. I reserved a car today. Next up is mapping the itinerary, then hotels. If you think of anything else please let me know. BC
  6. Thank you AKStafford and Oaktreerb for the suggestions. Our land tour begins on May 17 fyi. BC
  7. Hello, we have a HAL land and sea tour in May that begins in Anchorage. We fly into Anchorage a few days prior to the beginning of the tour. I am looking for recommendations for: hotels with good locations for walking around the city, tours based in Anchorage that in your experience should not be missed, places to visit (we will have a car), and restaurants with food you enjoyed. Thank you. Baltimore Cruise.🚢
  8. Thank you all for assisting me with your experience and identifying the sailings! BaltimoreCruise
  9. I was on the HAL website to look for an itinerary that includes both Iceland and Greenland in 2024 and 2025. I was not successful. Do any of you CC members know? Thank you, BaltimoreCruise
  10. This link is so informative. We left home today in advance of our Rotterdam transatlantic. Just before we left I subscribed to NordVPN. I’m not even sure I know how to work with it but plan to work on it this next week before our cruise. BaltimoreCruise
  11. Oh no. We are on the Rotterdam partial transit Feb 4 with friends. We have taken this cruise before but our friends have not. Was an explanation not provided? BaltimoreCruise
  12. Thank you for your response. I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions. BaltimoreCruise
  13. We are scheduled for a May, 2024 Cruise Tour (Y4L). The land tour is first. We are scheduled the first day in Anchorage and day two in Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali. HAL can not provide details at this time. I've looked at the other categories on CC and I couldn't find much. What happens the first day in Anchorage? We plan to fly to Anchorage 2 days early to explore on our own. Thank you. BaltimoreCruise
