Also, did you purchase the Plus Cruise Package or the Plus Beverage Package? Believe it or not, the Beverage Package costs more than the Cruise Package. I really hate it when they use the same (or similar) name for 2 different things.

You may find lower prices if you book yourself, but with EZAir you always have the option (up to 45 days before your cruise and assuming that you book with the Flexible Fare option) to rebook, at a lower price, with no penalty. I’ve done this on several occasions saving several hundred dollars.

After sending in my request to ValueTrips (Feb 20, 2024) I discovered that I could book directly with Hyatt for $51 less. Of course, I booked directly with Haytt and cancelled the ValueTrips reservation as soon as I received it. This just goes to show that, while ValueTrips usually has a good deal, it’s not always the case. It pays to keep looking.

It seems that I made an assumption in my original posting that everyone knew that a tablet is not a phone – it is a small laptop computer. To further clarify, I don’t know anything about Apple devices. My tablet is a Windows device running Windows 10. I set it up by going to Settings | Network & Internet | Mobile hotspot. I then specified to share my Wi-Fi connection over Wi-Fi, and created the user-id, password, etc. that a device using the connection would have to use.

I never had a problem downloading to my Kindle. I create a Wi-Fi hotspot using my tablet, connect my Kindle to that hotspot, and download. It has always worked in the past. But, there is no guarantee that it will work in the future.

I encountered this exact problem about 2 years ago. And, after many frustrating emails and conversations with Customer Relations where I referred to this as the Back-to-Back Penalty, I finally got a representative that would work with me and give me the (lower) round-trip price. But, as I said, it was a time-consuming and frustrating process with no guaranteed result.

Were you trying to plug the lamp into the front of the adaptor, or into the top? If you were trying to plug it into the top I can see where there would be a problem. I've always plugged the lamp inro the front and the CPAP into the top.
