Well I like your solution (shifting to the foot of the bed) if it doesn't work out...could be fun!
-
Hmm. This is an interesting option that I have not considered in the past. Maybe because the MSC PI is so nice. But now I'm curious, so thanks for the question...following.

If the bed fits into the cut out nearest the door, then your back would be going forward. I think if you want to face forward then you need 7257 because the bed is facing in the forward direction. Or am I just very confused? I wasn't prepared for a GRE test item...lol.

Meaning if you sit up in bed, your eyes need to face the same direction the ship is sailing? I think you're asking if the bed is on the wall that will put the aft of the ship behind you...Just trying to understand so I can maybe help.

Day Pass at Resorts World Bimini
Georgia_Peaches replied to Alaska Lily's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I have no info either way on which way to book but I will say that I recommend you do extensive research on transportation to and from the resort. When we were at Bimini back in July, transportation via free shuttle was a Charlie Foxtrot. Upset cruisers who couldn’t get a timely shuttle ride back to the ship due to ‘Island time’ shuttle drivers (and a broken down shuttle) made for a very stressful beach day. If you are unable to walk back on your own in a pinch, I recommend you consider the beach area at the end of the pier as at least you know you will make the all aboard time. -
Decks/cabins review website - can't find

Deckplangenius.com. ?? just typed in that web address and the site no longer comes up. Hmmm… -
If Mexico is on your itin, you may be able to get the medication there...again, assuming they have it in stock. They do not require an RX but it would be good to have it to ensure that you are getting the correct medication as their labels are in Spanish. I had to get an rx filled in Mexico once for an eye infection. My doctor called in the script but they didn't need a physical copy, just the name of the medication. The first place we went didn't have it but the second place did.

Yikes! Top three? Hmmm... I really enjoy the escargot...that's an app but very rich with all the butter...great for dipping bread. I've also enjoyed the beef wellington... and the crème brule...my favorite MDR dessert. I'm struggling to recall a second or a third entrée. I don't find the food bad at all...Much of it just isn't that memorable, IMO.

Quiet place to read in the AM on the Beyond

I was going to recommend, without being a smart Alec, that your stateroom might be the most sure thing. -
Murano Tasting vs. just dining at Murano
Georgia_Peaches replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Ah yes, you are correct! Still working on my first cup of coffee. 🤦🏻♀️Thank you! -
I believe Oceania includes wine with lunch and dinner. Doesn't help you now but my point being, some cruise lines do offer this. You pay for it either way though.

Murano Tasting vs. just dining at Murano
Georgia_Peaches replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Exactly!! So there's space in the dining room for the 5 senses diners but not a la carte diners at your preferred time? Hardly! It's all the same room with the exception of a more private area reserved for the Chef's table or parties who have reserved the space. They market this as an 'experience' of the senses. IMO it's a gimmick. I'm sure many have enjoyed this, especially with the wine pairing but I can do that myself from the other menu. Murano itself, is an experience...you don't need to add the 5 senses upcharge for that. Again, just my opinion. -
Murano Tasting vs. just dining at Murano
Georgia_Peaches replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The tasting menu is fixed in that you choose from two options and it involves several courses. You can also add a wine pairing for an additional cost. Here's the menu. You are signed up for the 5 Senses experience. Personally, I would cancel and book the a la carte. I know you want an earlier dining time and often you can change the time once you board. https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/new-images/Murano-Dinner-Menu-2024.pdf -
Let’s say you’re traveling with several couples… what’s the procedure for splitting the cost among several staterooms?

Summit Live to Alaska 8/30/24 to 9/6/24
Georgia_Peaches replied to robbinsca's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Enjoy your cruise! As an aside, if one were to receive a letter stating they had a basic wifi and drinks package and the drinks package was an error, that error would be on them should said passengers care to imbibe. I dare say THEY were the lucky ones because you double checked. Kudos! -
Yes, I wondered about that too.

Have you asked for a different cabin? I agree that at celebrity’s current price point the rooms should be in better shape. I would start by asking for a cabin reassignment and if none are available, then perhaps some refundable OBC. My next comment is not an admonishment of the OP but a recommendation to anyone reading…always do your research before booking your cruise. Watch as many YouTube videos of room tours and ship tours as possible. In doing this myself, we’ve passed on certain ships in the past and I believe, saved ourselves from potential disappointment. OP, there’s nothing you can do about the ship choice now, just embrace it, grab a drink and enjoy your cruise!

I already have a hard enough time figuring out what I’m going to wear here on earth. 🤦🏼♀️

Off Site Parking At Port Canaveral
Georgia_Peaches replied to ThriftyNiftyCruiser's topic in MSC Cruises
We find it easier to just park at the port and really appreciate the covered parking deck. -
Dang, I know you're kicking yourself. I don't know the answer to your question but if you used a TA, I'd inquire with them about how to claim lost and found items. I'm sure there is a hoop-filled method. Good luck!

DH and I both got covid 2 days after returning home from our cruise to Alaska on Edge. Could have picked it up anywhere but based on the timeline, I'm guessing we picked it up in the airport on the way home. Unfortunately, the days of being extra careful of exposing others seem to be a thing of the past. Just yesterday at my little antique store a lady wearing a mask checked out at the main counter. She explained that she had covid but "needed to get out of the house"... SMH
