  1. Last ULTRA was packed. The elite last April, was not so packed. I am still a small fish with some of those players hitting 50K points and up! I cannot and will not keep up with them.
  2. Our other casino offers seem better than Elites. May be better for those that fly in and use transportation.
  3. We have a cruise this May. Any suggestions for hotels near port? Arriving two days early and will explore before and make sure airlines have ample time for any issues. excited for a different itinerary!!
  4. okay, so sprit and fantasy class fit in Tampa and Jax. Does anyone know how much Conquest class are too large for those ports? I know its height. Can they just shorten the funnel?
  5. Our PVP scrubs our upcoming cruises for rate drops. Just saved us $1200 for upcoming cruise. Best gift ever!
  6. THIs^^^ We also enjoyed this. Had tables with checkered tablecloths by the pool area with limited seating. It was a great meal and very enjoyable. Seafood was tasty and plentiful.
  7. great idea with the ice in the cooler as addition. Those are hit and miss. Worth looking for thermostat in those as well. usually of top or "roof" of fridge. Last week on Pride, some of the soda were frozen. But had one on celebration that was only about 55-60 deg. It is hit and miss for sure
  8. Also got a pre cruise casino survey. Not sure what their intentions are.
  9. I do not believe there is an "upper" area like the conquest class ships with BBQ. Day 1 always seems crazy, then for some reason, the rest of cruise it is more relaxed.
  10. We typically book carmival excursions, but have went private in the past. used Viator to locate private companies. These companies need positive reviews and tend to be really reliable. We did find a private sunset sail charter in Bonaire that was prob one of the best excursions ever. The private companies tend to have small or no crowd. They also tend to take a personal interest.
  11. DOU everywhere for both named and other cruisers comes at a high cost in casino. IMHO, it costs more in gambling than simply buying cheers.
  12. Well, I guess that means I lost a lot over the most recent cruises. I found one machine that always pays out. ATM - Pays $500 per day. LOL
  13. our offer is the 16th also. I think others might get earlier dates. We are not big "fish" or spenders. The last offer had openings over a large period of time and they really never completely filled. It appears the more favorable ports fill faster.
  14. check facebook group under "events" tab
  15. It has been a long time since we have sailed on the Pride. What are some of the recent changes in the last year or so? How is the casino without the bar? How is bar service without the bar? We really enjoyed the ship and know she is not new, but we enjoy the fun and relaxation. thanks
  16. Then of course there is the breakeven point of around 7.5 drinks per day to consider. And if you were to share??? Might be less $$$ to purchase as you go.
  17. Most of the restaurants have some lunch menu also. I thought I counted a total of 23 unique meal options for three meals per day. Could not eat all on 7 day cruise. No chance of not finding something to eat for lunch.
  18. For our upcoming cruise this month. the organizer is from Canada and is not subject to US taxes. Let see what the outcome looks like. This is $10 per spin and $100 buy in.
  19. Correct, Just our perspective. Been on 24 cruises and only once to Bonaire. So 4.17% of our cruises.
  20. Been to Bahamas several times. Just meh. We find the local very pushy to sell their wares/services. We prefer laid back and no pressure vacation time since our line of work is so demanding. The waters are beautiful, but agree with others. Bonaire has recently become a new favorite for us while on a southern itinerary.
  21. Congrats. -You will need to call room service for your free chocolate delight. We typically ask for cookies instead. -As mentioned, Pixels for pin/gifts . Casino for $25, Any bar for water. -Laundry is really great for not delicate items. I wish we had self control to bring LESS clothing and let team do laundry...just never happens. - Early boarding time selection is nice too.
  22. we were there on celebration this past January. We were parked in parking garage on 3rd floor. It took 1.5 hours to leave the parking garage. I also recall a delay getting off ship. I think it was around 10 am when we got out of the tunnel and onto the highway leaving port. This was the weekend of the marathon 2023. Seems like 1145 is borderline for my comfort level
  23. Havana is small on Celebration. Just another option vs. a real distinct experience IMHO
