I'll be on a 10 day cruise later this year and I'm curious how the experience is with having laundry done? Not having laundry done means I'll need to pack way more clothes than I'd prefer to (or that I even own at the moment)

My concern with having laundry done on the cruise is that the clothes may be run on a heat drying cycle which would cause them to shrink. It may be a little unusual, but I air dry my clothes at home.

Does anyone have any experience using the laundry services while on a Princess cruise? Should I buy/pack more clothes or go with a little less and use the laundry services?

We've achieved status on HAL that provides free unlimited laundry years ago ( literally, one of the best perks).  Trust me, if shrinkage occurs it's because of the food and not the laundry.

First time sailing with HA coming up soon. I'm a big (EARLY MORNING) coffee drinker and I was wondering what the options will be. Koningsdam. I heard of the Dutch Cafe, but just read they don't open until 11:30am, so that's out.  I've been on other cruise lines and there is some sort of coffee available 24/7. True with HA?  Will be there any kind of speciality coffee shops open at, say 7:00am?  Not interested in room service as I like to be out and about early for sunrise. Thank you!

I have heard that NY Deli & Pizza serves bagels etc. in the morning, and I believe I heard they have coffee as well.

We put our morning coffee request hanger out every night at bedtime for a 6:00am delivery. 6:00 is the earliest delivery time and we’ve never had a problem with getting our coffee at that time - one morning they were 10 minutes early. It’s enough to get us up and get ready for breakfast and more coffee.

Pretty sure the Dutch Cafe was open around 9ish.  But yes, the New York deli will have early breakfast, coffee is always available in the lido, and explorations on the observation deck has specialty coffees

We have not been on a cruise for many years but we take one in May out of Los Angeles, my question is this, is it absolutely expected or neccessary to wear a suit or sportcoat on the formal nights?  I only ask because it is such a pain to pack and fly with a suit.  What percentage of people do not wear a suit in your estimate?

It's really going to depend on the line that you're cruising with.
