I have no idea how we have done a month in the Adriatic, Greece and the islands along with stops in Turkey with nothing more than Rick Steves guide books and no planning. Just trying to read this makes me never want to go anywhere again.. -

The ship’s currency in $USD. Why make it difficult for the crew just give them $USD or charge it to your cabin.

It really is not an issue, but can be a hassle. People on B2B cruises do it every day in every port.

A 26 inch suitcase is awfully big to fit through a traditional airport style scanner. Do what you want but it would be a real pain if you had to back track and take it out to the porters. BTW rooms usually ready around 2:30 to 3:00.

And if you bother to look at the day by day itinerary there is no mention of Glacier Bay

I pay mine ahead just to spread the CC payments around. I could easily wait and pay on board but the smaller credit card bills are nice. In the end though the total is the same. -
Dealing with minutes is always an issue, better to have the unlimited..

I’m not sure I could tell the difference between mid-tier, low-tier or high-tier. You can tell how much wine I don’t drink.

As NCL is currently in the process of switching to a new app, make sure you have the one your ship is using. If in doubt download them both.

Not any cruise lines strong suit. -
You can bring as much wine as you can carry with no corkage fee if you have a beverage package. You may drink it anywhere on the ship including restaurants. If you don’t have a beverage package the corkage fee is $15 per bottle. Don’t put it in your checked luggage, it has to be carried or else you will have to go claim your luggage from security.

If you search the NCL website you should find the current list of included liquor and beer. ( @hallux posted the link) Bottled water is not included. Soda, by the glass is included. Speciality coffee is not included but regular coffee and tea is included. Coffee and tea are available in the buffet and any restaurant. The Starbucks is not included.

Most posters are in the US and we have very different rules than Europeans. @Asawi is probably one of the best sources for information for you. -

You need to do some research about how port fees are calculated precruise. They are just estimates. If they under-estimate the fees for the total cruise NCL eats the costs. If they over-estimate the overage is refunded. You have to look at the total, not on a port by port basis. -
Cagney’s has a policy that service is not rushed. They try to make it a “luxurious” meal with lots of time between course. There is always a wait on the main even if you are the first order in the kitchen for the night. Nothing going wrong, that’s just the standard.

You can do either but the easiest is to drop your bags and then go explore. Return to the ship and then check in and board.

You don’t have to pay any gratuities or service charges. They are easily removed by a trip to guest services.

They are not keeping port fees and taxes. Any fees that are collected and not paid are refunded.

All you had to do was ask and they would have given you as many as you wanted.
