  1. Still recovering from our trip and will post more photos and such in a day or two but I wanted to drop in and say Kali did AMAZING on her first cruise. I was so proud of her! As far as the paperwork I was so intimidated by? We handed over copies of everything when we boarded and no one else ever asked for a single thing. Not even when we got off the ship in Nassau! 😲 Someone please tell me the paperwork for Cozumel will be easy! Thank you all so much for your support through my extreme nervousness! ❤️
  2. Just got Kali's final vet check done. Headed out to start the drive to the coast in less than 12 hours! Bursting with excitement!!!!! My hubby made her flamingo neck wear for formal night photos, to go with our flamingo themed outfits (flamingo scarf for me, and flamingo bow tie for hubby)!
  3. Kali's first cruise is only 5 days away! I am so excited (and nervous lol)!
  4. Got the Bahamas Import Permit faxed back today! Only took a couple of business days. Thank you guys so much for your encouragement and keeping me from letting my fear overwhelm me and take away a huge piece of my independence for this cruise! ❤️
  5. Yes, yes, YES! Those who lie and try to pass their pets off as Service Dogs are of course the biggest problem with having fakes everywhere but businesses that do not know and ENFORCE their rights add heavily to the issue. As a Service Dog handler I have to be hyper aware about protecting my partner because SOOOO many businesses do not understand that they can remove misbehaving (lunging, aggressive, uncontrolled barking, improper elimination, not under control of the handler etc) dogs from their establishment no matter what the person says or cards/pieces of paper they flash.
  6. Thank you SOOO much. You guys are making me feel so much better about this!
  7. Thank you SO much for this! I have read enough of your posts over the years to know you have TONS of experience traveling with Service Dogs, so hearing this from you eases my mind more than you can know! ❤️
  8. That is a great idea! My husband and I were just discussing the fact that it looks like this form can be signed by ANY licensed vet and not necessarily the vet that took care of the vaccines etc., and the fact that Banfield (in Petsmart) is open 7 days a week. I am trying really hard not to panic or give up hope of bringing her, but this is all SO intimidating and the thought of being turned away at the pier is absolutely terrifying.
  9. Thanks so much for your reply! How long ago was this? If I am not mistaken this form that is supposed to be done within 48 hours is relatively new? I am not completely sure, still trying to figure out how to navigate all of this. Royal Caribbean is not much help, they just refer me to the Department of Ag.
  10. I thought about doing exactly that, but I am terrified that if I do that and Royal Caribbean isn't satisfied with that on boarding day, I will be denied boarding.
