  1. I don't think that there is any advantage booking onboard. The best prices are when you pre register before the cruises go on general sale (usually in Jan & March for the following year).
  2. I think the term is "People who have lower standards". Just off the allotment style dress or what's the problem I've only been wearing these jogging trousers for the past fortnight!.
  3. When the Bookings for Excursions opens there will be full description of each trip. There will be some variations but most will be a 2hr Coach Trip with possible photo stops.
  4. I have seen it on P&O (even worse!).But I don't want to see it on Saga Thank You.
  5. The problem with any relaxation of Dress Code is that the interpretation becomes wider & then you end up with the customers wearing jogging bottoms & Football shirts or "just in from the allotment" in MDR's as seen on other Cruise Lines. No thanks, keep the policy Saga it one of the things I like about you!.
  6. It seems to vary by Cruise. Ours for SOD 6th August were available Mid May.
  7. Lead in Prices are low but then if you want good quality food you pay in the speciality venues!. Internet costs up 100% pre covid & wine up 60% & that is jut two items!.
  8. Absolutely that's why I left P&O after 20+ Cruises. The product now now supplied post Covid is no where near the standards pre Covid. Quality of food & standard of service has plummeted.
  9. As a point of interest WiFi price on P&O had doubled since Covid shutdown.
  10. That is crystal clear but it has taken a long time to get there!.
  11. Anybody, not just Britannia Club Members, can pre-book a Table in the MDR. It is first come first served with a max of 150 Tables available for pre-booking. That is why booking at Pre-Registration stage gives you an advantage with all the info is on the Saga Website.
  12. I am unsure where you obtained the information regarding" an included trip" to Tresco Gardens on SOD in August. I am on that Cruise & their are no included excursions in this Port. The Excursion to Tresco Gardens is £49pp.
  13. As far as I am aware only the Buffet is open on Embarkation Day & closes around 3.30pm so as Muster can take place.
  14. If you book a fixed table upon arrival you will find a card in your Cabin with all the information on it including the table number.
  15. Yes you are being unkind!. Saga do advertise this under "dining". A max of 150 Tables per Cruise are allocated.
  16. When booking you can request a fixed table in the MDR subject to availability as Saga reserve a number of tables for this purpose
  17. A new Cruise Terminal is due to open in Portsmouth this summer. It will do away with the "tents" currently used but you will still need a shuttle bus to the Ship.
  18. No. Saga use Dover, Portsmouth & Tilbury.
  19. Not a lot to moan about if the only issue is the Quality of Coffee served. I find the Living Room Coffee is perfectly OK.
  20. You get a shared Car 75-300 miles. If you want a Private Car for the 75-300 Mile Band you pay for it @ £2.50 per mile.
  21. For the last two years (for 2023 & 2024) the E-Mail Brochure for Jan-March (not Jan-April) has been issued in early January with April-Dec in early March. The phone call is in strict order of pre-registration & Saga usually appear to clear the calls in about three weeks & then on General Sale approx four weeks after the E-Mail Brochure is sent out.
  22. For the last two years (for 2023 & 2024) the E-Mail brochure for Jan-March (not Jan-April) has been issued in early January with April-Dec in early March.
