  1. Yeah, it just makes me wonder if there is any reason to request ahead of time or just deal with it when you get on board. We also requested they split the bed for my daughters, and the bed was not split. But when we got on board, they split it for example.
  2. Hello, I'm wondering what the advantage is of making requests ahead of time, as it seems RC didn't have any of ours. The requests I had made were for: - Medical fridge for my daughter's medication - Distilled Water/Extension cord for cpap for husband - Allergies noted for dining room - Request to sit with another family at dinner When we got on board our room attendant was not aware of the requests that we had made by filling in the special needs form that was confirmed by the special needs department. But he was able to honor them and get the fridge and distilled water and extension cord. Our travel agent had confirmed our request to sit at an 8 top with another family. When we got on our board, we were at a 4 top and the dining room did not have that request either. They told us we could talk to someone after the first dinner but we thought it would be awkward to switch after the first night so did not. They also did not know about my allergy but were able to accommodate. I'm wondering if there is any benefit to actually filling in the form ahead of time if they don't seem to be noted on board, or if this was an anomoly? Thanks!
  3. What car rental companies are located near the port that you can return a car rental to and they have a (free) shuttle to the port?
  4. FionaMG thanks for all the updates btw!!! Very helpful
  5. The malt syrup contains barley which is a no go for celiacs or those on a strict gluten free diet. I'm not sure about in the US, but in Canada, they do make a "gluten free rice krispies" made from brown rice that is safe.
  6. My Liberty cruise was in 2019. So maybe they added it after mine! I am going on Harmony later this year and they do not have it from what I understand :(. Just the dessert case.
  7. I wish all ships had a gluten-free area at the buffet. They had one on Oasis, but not on my Liberty cruise. I did talk to the dining manager and give my feedback, hopefully, others do the same and they introduce it on more ships. It seems apparently most ships now have gluten free dessert section in the buffet at least from what I've read. Rice Krispies are not gluten-free btw, so they must be some other similar cereal!
  8. I don't think Flamingo has a lazy river though? Just waterslides?
  9. Thanks Steerage Joe! We are planning to stay in Orlando area for a few days and then make our way down to Ft Launderdale for our cruise, so staying in Port Canaveral doesn't really make sense. Red Lion does still seem to be there, I looked it up, but very pricey for what it is!
  10. Looking for a place for a few days pre-cruise with a nice pool area/lazy river.
  11. Wondering what options there are for lunch and/or snacks on cocoa cay day?
  12. Hello, I had read that RC now has free onboard texting? Is that available on all ships (we are going on Harmony)? How well does it work? We have teenagers and need a way to stay in touch with them, and the wifi packages are insane price points!
