I will be on the Getaway (for the first time) from Southampton soon and just wanted to ask if anyone has recent dailies they could post please? I know they won’t be for the the same itinerary but it would give me an insight into where the solo meets are and the entertainment. Many thanks. regards -Tony

Thank you for posting the dailies. I couldn't see any Solo meetings listed which usually take place around 6pm each evening? Do you happen to know if any meetings took place?

This situation is getting worse! I was on the Gem last May on the first eastern med cruise following repositioning and experienced the ban on alcohol sales in Greek ports. This was resolved for folks with the beverage package as we argued the case that we were not being ‘sold’ alcohol it was just being ‘delivered’. I’m currently enjoying a great western med voyage on the Epic (6th time on her). We were in Livorno the last two days and had a similar notice that stated that spirits could not be served due to local regulations. I have the free at sea beverage package and would have been outraged if I had paid the additional alcohol supplement and could not be ‘served’ spirits. The latest notice is a clever play on words as we cannot be sold or ‘served’ spirits. Also bearing in mind the original itinerary for my cruise included a stop at Sardinia which was pulled and a second day at Livorno added. It seems to me that while NCL can away with it they will. P

Hi Spenecer , thank you so much for you review and posting the dailies. I have really enjoyed reading it and them. I will be on the Epic for its first cruise post TA from Barcelona on 7 May and can’t wait. It will be my 7th cruise 6 of which have been on the Epic Med and Caribbean. The other one was NCL Dawn from Trieste last year. From reading your dailies it seems Spice H2O is not being used to show films in the evening. Would you know if this is due to the soot issues? TIA

Unfortunately the refurb in 2020 didn’t happen due to Covid so it’s long overdue. All they did was upgrade the haven areas.

I too can confirm that the Gem is serving alcohol today while moored off Mykonos to drinks package holders. Thankfully!!
