We are sailing with Virgin to the islands of the eastern Caribbean. Can anytime recommend a good company to book our day excursions with please? Any tips on what is best to see in Tortola, Guadeloupe, Barbados, St Lucia and Antigua would be most welcome. Thank you

Hi Phoenix 1975
Do you really need to book the shows in Virgin, can’t you just turn up? There seems to be a lot of admin beforehand booking everything on the App.
Thank you

Thank you, good advice. Which cruise terminal do Virgin use in San Juan please? Also is it worth a look around the old town in San Juan?

We are going on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise with Virgin Voyages, First time we have sailed with them. Previously been with MSC, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.
Do you have any good tips please on cruising with Virgin? We have reserved the speciality restaurants though they are late in the evening.
What tends to be the age group too that sails with Virgin?

Would you travel with Virgin again?

We have cruised in the past with Celebrity, MSC and Royal Caribbean. Next month we are going on a cruise with Virgin Voyages.
From members experience, do people actually get dressed up for evening meal? Reading about the ship it seems to be dress in whatever, my partner likes to dress up for evening meal but feels put off with the information that Virgin send out, it gives the impression that we are going on an 18-30 holiday and everything seems to be over indulgent. From Scarlet Nights to Drag Queen Bingo.
From experience what is it actually like? Unless you dine in one of the specialty restaurants it seems that you can wear shorts, flip flops etc as long as it is not total nudity!
The average age group seems to be very young cruisers, we are in our sixties and enjoy a good time but Virgin seem to be dumbing down the dress code.
Would be interested to hear from others who have sailed with Virgin and see if they would return again.

I had an E-mail from Cunard today saying, on the FCO advice they have put their sailings on hold until November 2020.
I wonder if that means Celebrity are going to push back their cruises, are they all part of Cunard?

We are due to sail with Celebrity on the Edge cruise liner from Italy on 18 September. The final balance is due on 24 July. Now that the Foreign Office in Britain today has warned against all U.K. citizens regardless of age not to go on a cruise, what are my options? I think it’s best to transfer the cruise to September 2021, what would you do? Thank you

We are due to sail on Celebrity Edge on Friday 18 September from Rome. I know that Celebrity have said that they will start sailing again on 15 September. The ship at the moment is moored off Florida and to be honest I do not think they will bring the ship over to Europe for such a short space of time as it sails back to Florida at the end of October.
Would I be best postponing the cruise until next year or is it better to wait for Celebrity to cancel the cruise, then that way they might add some cruise credits? Do you think the cruise will go ahead when the ship is only here in Europe for under 7 weeks?
There will be a lot of Americans who would have gone on this cruise too but of course they cannot fly to Europe now.
Breakfast on Virgin Voyages - Valiant Lady

We are cruising on Valiant Lady in a few weeks time around the eastern Caribbean. First time with Virgin.
We are staying in a Central Sea Terrace cabin. Is there a kettle and any coffee/tea facilities in the cabin?
Also can we eat breakfast in one of the speciality restaurants in the morning? We would like a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs etc.
Any good general tips would be useful too. We have sailed with MSC, Royal Caribbean etc before, Virgin seem very different, but we are young at heart and I am a big pop and rock music fan. Thank you in anticipation.
