  1. I don't know of an interline discount for WiFi but depending on what allowed you to get that rate, they may have something else to offer onboard. I know corporate employees and contractors on board use a different network. If you just gained the interline rate by proxy I wouldn't count on any discount.
  2. On Beyond and Reflection recently they have had deck parties with suggested white attire but it's not necessarily a theme night like some other Iines may do. Although a surprising amount of people participated on both.
  3. Unfortunately you still can’t do that. On S class the aft C1’s are now SC (Sunset Concierge) which are excluded. On M class there are the 2-3 aft accessible C1’s but that’s it.
  4. Nothing tangible is happening on that date. Some cabins were renamed and recategorized. Cruises with a sail date after April 25 2023 were sold based upon the updated categorization.
  5. It would be unlikely to have relatable air options available to book more than a year from your travel date. 330 days is the norm -with a few exceptions.
  6. All of the ports indicated in this graphic should have at least one stop during the 24/25 season. Ship size, the preference to avoid tendering, lack of things to do on some of the more obscure islands, port congestion, etc. all have an impact on where you can visit.
  7. Correct. If you are asking if you could upgrade from a V1 to a DV, then no, you cannot. The upgrade has to be within the same super-category. Above a V1 would be the DV which is outside of the super-category and also listed in the excluded category. You can go from V3 to V2 or from V2 to V1, but that's where it would stop.
  8. He would just be a no show at the pier. She wouldn’t have any issues. Just don’t try to remove him from the booking. Leave it as is and there will be no problems.
  9. On a booking made directly with Celebrity the grats always show due for a few days then fall off. Nothing to worry about.
  10. A Celebrity exec confirmed very recently that they have no plans for Galveston in the future.
  11. There are literally printed cards on the cashier's desk that explain how to do it in an easier way with a room charge. I don't think it's a secret since they provide instructions to you.
  12. You'll be getting a knock on your door around 8am if you are still in the room. By 9am they will be gently telling you it's time to go. Check out www.resortpass.com there are decent options near the port for a day room well under $100.
  13. Lately the key to a smooth walk off is don't get in line. Wait until the ship clears, give it 10 minutes, and you will walk right off. We were on the same cruise and immediately walked off around 7:45 with no line. The taxi line was long but the sheriff out front told everyone they hadn't come yet. Right at 8am about 10 cabs showed up and continued to show up in waves every few minutes. The line was long but we waited 10-15 minutes at most. There were easily 50-75 people in front of us. We arrived to FLL also by 8:15 where apparently everyone flying has TSA pre-check paired with the slowest moving CLEAR line I have ever experienced. I've seen many people say the Magic Carpet does not move, but it was on deck 5 most nights of this cruise. They typically asked everyone to clear off around 4:15pm so they could relocate.
  14. That's how credit card payments and refunds work with every single vendor who accepts them.
  15. The majority of my Celebrity cruises have been in January to February. Rarely more than a handful of kids. Last week Beyond was sold out and there were maybe a dozen.
  16. 👍 This seems like it may be a better option. The port is not pedestrian friendly. I would be leery to drop luggage too early. With the time an Uber can take to arrive, traffic, etc. it seems like you have plenty of time to shop but the window closes in pretty quickly. Also, depending on what kind of shopping you want to do, you will not find anything very unique within the 17th street area. You may not be familiar with some of the stores but they are very basic places you can find in any strip mall in the US. Something else to consider.
  17. It's actually the opposite. TA's can hold unsold group allocated space until 150 or 120 days from sailing. If the situation occurs that TA's are holding all of the available inventory (such as this case) Celebrity will require the unsold cabin allocation to be given up so they have inventory to sell.
  18. Correct. A little earlier than normal but they can do it at any time, especially if all available inventory is held by TA's.
  19. Just off Beyond which was my first experience on a sold out sailing since 2019. I think I've sailed Celebrity now 6 times since the post-covid restart. My experience was much the same as yours. The areas that were congested with lines (rather - those that can recognize a line and didn't walk up and shout orders but that's another topic), was the same as always. Cafe al Bacio moved very quick. The buffet was a zoo like usual but emptied tables were cleared very quickly. Martini Bar was busy but seemed to move faster than my last experience on Reflection. Pool Bar was normal. Additional help was brought in at bars during really busy periods. Guest Services almost always had every station staffed. There was just no noticeable reduction in staff. I did not overhear much complaining on board at all, aside from the usual. There is a big difference in validity and perspective to these horror stories that unfortunately scare people off.
  20. It’s at Raw on 5 again tonight but it looks like it’s open for drinks for anyone wanting to go. The weather is perfect this evening, albeit a tiny bit windy.
  21. Not always. Currently on Beyond and definitely watched the MC go past my balcony down to deck 5 last night
  22. There is no guarantee you would win a bid, any bid. If a balcony would become available due to a cancellation or someone else moving up from that balcony category, then Celebrity has people willing to pay on standby to fill the cabin. If there is zero movement and no cabins become available, the MoveUp bid is rejected.
  23. 1. Visibility - it has you talking. 2. Email is relatively cheap - it's not worth the the energy to customize the output based on booking info. 3. Bookings with air/hotel/etc. add-ons have an exponentially higher retention rate than a cruise only res.
  24. It may be dated info but at one point TBL had at least a 20% commission since they are acting as the broker. They're going to make money off the booking somehow. Viator (owned by TripAdvisor who owns Cruise Critic) has even more fees and is a little more sketchy. They allow vendors to adjust their commission to boost their ranking in the search results among other things. Basically the big guys eat the little guys.
