  1. I laughed out loud when I read this because it is so true 🤪
  2. Cheddar had her first visit to Trentham Gardens yesterday to show off her new harness. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting lots of people and other dogs. Didn't walk too far and she sat as good as gold at Cadwaladers while we had coffee.
  3. We welcome careful drivers not the idiots we seem to get. Its no quicker using the estate anyway because they still have to queue at the other end to get off onto Keelings Road.
  4. This encourages me to go even slower. We have problems on our estate where drivers take a short cut from Abbey Hulton, through our estate at Birches Head and up to Hanley to avoid the queues at Lyme Kiln Bank. The times we have pulled out of our road to find the next minute a car right on the bumper, so then we crawl off the estate.
  5. Yes I remember reading your post. We had two lovely ladies driving our coach going down and a lovely gentleman on the return. Coach arrived bang on 08:45 at Keele, we were delayed on return with the usual people who couldn't find their luggage.
  6. Hi Josy, we have taken the free coach from P&O a number of times but prefer to go with Eavesway. Intercruises time from Keele is approx 09:30/09:45 where as Eavesway time from Keele is 08:45. If you need a reliable transfer to Keele I can recommend BFirst from Hanford, we used him in Sept and he was very prompt outbound and was waiting for us on the return.
  7. Just checked Ernie for high winners this month (not us) and one of the millions holder only has £5050 in there. It just goes to show its all down to luck. Congratulations to them 😁
  8. Just keep messing around with the direction buttons. Think I used the centre button then the righthand arrow button. You can zoom in 3 times.
  9. Found out yesterday that Lloyds Pharmacy are closing all branches. We know they pulled out of Sainsburys earlier this year but the assistant in our local one which has now changed name told hubby that they were all closing. Anyone else heard anything?
  10. It is now it wasn't before covid unless we only got half a service then.
  11. On our recent Arvia cruise our butler said he was unable to make any reservations in any restaurant and it all had to be done via the app or just turn up and get a pager. Not sure if this was correct as on a previous cruise the butler went out of his way to make sure we dined where we wanted. On a plus side he did bring the following nights menus to us so we could decide over the MDR or another venue.
  12. Thanks for that may I include myself for the 8th and our daughter for the 14th, happy birthday everyone x
  13. Its a chance you take, sometimes they take it off you and give it back at the end of the cruise sometimes they don't bother. Either way its cheaper in port than from duty free on the ship.
  14. On our recent Arvia cruise we were able to bring alcohol back on board from the resort. There was no honesty table and we were not challenged by anyone. Think this might depend on the ship as Arvia is massive and all they want to do is get everyone back onboard. No problems at security either.
  15. Lol she is rather, she's just been to the vets for her 2nd jab and had him in stitches when she tried to eat the mouse on his computer.
  16. All of the pups were named after detectives for The Kennel Club, Cheddar is Mary Beth Lacey (Cagney & Lacey) the pup you can just see behind her is Nancy Drew now called Maggie.
  17. Good afternoon everyone, just wanted to share a photo of the latest addition to our family. Please meet Cheddar our daughters 10 week old lab🥰
  18. We also found the steak to be gristly and tough on our recent Arvia cruise. And someone needs to show them how to cook a proper roast potato (I'll volunteer).
  19. According to her schedule Arvia should have been in Lisbon today but on Marine Traffic she has sailed right past and is heading for Gibraltar which is not scheduled, anyone got any ideas? I know the weather is pretty bad down there so maybe the call was cancelled.
  20. Sorry Harry I have to disagree with you on this occasion (that doesn't happen very often). For me the best suites are A750 & A751, no stanchion on the balcony taking up space along with the unnecessary dining table inside the lounge area. Other than that there is no difference, infact I would say that there is more space in 750 & 1.
  21. Be careful with the penthouse, there are only 2 on the ship and if they are the same as Ventura they have a stanchion running down the balcony. Personally I don't think it is worth £660 each more.
  22. We only have a few grass cuttings in November then not until maybe end of march, perhaps some remaining leaves so they will go in a black bag in the grey bin. Infact when our daughter bought her house and was waiting for her brown bin that is exactly what the council told her to do.
  23. Yes we have an option to pay extra for the winter months but no one in our crescent will do it. Perhaps we are just a mean lot and think we pay enough in council tax!
