  1. Just received our ticketed flights from CCL. OUR 10/8/17 cruise on the dream leaves at 4:00. Our flight arrives at 12:38. Does this sound like enough time to make a 3:00 boarding to you frequent cruisers? Wondering if we should change to the day before. Worried.

For peace of mind I would come in a day early but you will have the added cost of a hotel room. I have actually flown in to NOLA to catch a cruise arrived at 1:00 and didn't have a problem.

  2. I got one planned in a few weeks , too late to buy insurance.

Then I got a text form some one at sea now, said they ran out of Eggs for Breakfast and no longer have some meats on the buffet as they are running out of fresh foods.

Then I read this that said they are going to an other port for more supplies.

Yep, next time I will get insurance.

this makes me laugh, not at you op but at the person giving you the info. The ship's aren't even supposed to be back in port until tomorrow but today the cruise ship is running of meat and eggs. Also they wouldn't be rationing things since they will be replenishing shortly.

  3. thanks for the tip about it getting dark early! I suppose that means it gets a little chilly as well? I'll be sure to bring a jacket.

Glad to help. I would take a jacket it could get a bit cool. Also if you have any other questions let know and I will be glad to answer to the best of my ability. My favorite port to cruise out of is NOLA and was on the Triumph about 6 months ago.

  4. As ABQrobin has already point out there may be only one time per excursion due to the time and also how popular the excursion is. So if you want to do more than one excursion a day you might have to find a different set of excursions you would want to take or possibly go outside of Carnival and use a private excursion provider. You would be able to find some recommendations for private providers on the port of call threads.

  5. Oh wow! I had no idea it would take that long to get down the river! I'm even more excited now for our cruise in Feb 2018. We booked an Aft Balcony so looking forward to enjoying the sights down the river!

I really enjoy going down the Mississippi alway so much to check out as you are going. I do want to caution you that in February it does get dark very quickly after sail away so make sure you get to see as much as you can before getting too dark.

  6. While I have never Sailed the Paradise. I have sailed the Destiny which is now called Sunshine with a upgrades. IMHO I would think the Sunshine is a pretty good upgrade as the Destiny was an upgrade to Fantasy class ships. These are just my opinions and I am sure some will disagree.
