  1. This thread is so weird to me. Why in in the heck would anyone want cruise fares to double for the same product? Seems as though many are happy to now bash the cruise industry which has provided them with wonderful experiences in the past. Bailout or not the cruise industry isn’t going away, thank goodness, because it’s probably our favorite mode of vacationing at this point. Dan
  2. Not to mention the small cabins, narrow hallways, tiny showers, etc on a cruise ship. It works fine when you’re healthy but sick? No thanks Dan
  3. Seems like a very cumbersome way to accomplish this. Hotels would be much more convenient and more local with many more available locations Dan
  4. I cancelled our cruise planner purchases on March 10th, and the credits starting posting to my credit card today, so 7 days. Dan
  5. Wondering the same thing, I submitted the refund request as well and I have not received anything further. They indicated that a confirmation email would be coming but I also have not seen anything yet. I assume that it will show up, but has anyone successfully gotten the refund confirmation email? Dan
  6. I'm aware of that. Who are you referring to that is from the UK on this thread? The only one I see is welshrich and I wasn't quoting him. Dan
  7. Thanks. What if the next cruise is already in the final payment period? I’m looking at possibilities late May, early June. Dan
  8. So we can't book a future cruise with FCC for 4-6 weeks? Dan
  9. Was this after final payment due date? You've always been able to reprice to your heart's content outside of final payment date. Dan
  10. 4-6 weeks? Do you mean 4-6 days? I think the representative I spoke to yesterday said about 5 days. Dan
  11. Can someone help with this question regarding the reuse of FCC within the "Cruise with Confidence" period? We are cancelling our March 22nd sailing (all paid by credit card) and looking at options in early June, which is still withing the "Cruise with Confidence" policy. If I apply the FCC from the March 22nd sailing to a June cruise and the corona virus is still bad enough to also cancel that new cruise in June, what happens with the FCC? Is it reinstated? Dan

  13. That works, thanks. We cruise enough that we'll make use of all the FCC. Dan
  14. Please help me understand. It's looking like we'll cancel our bookings for our cruise out of Galveston in 13 days (March 22nd). I know that all of our pre-purchase stuff (dinners, soda package, excursions, gratuities) will get refunded to our credit card, but how will the cruise fair be handled being that we are quite far past final payment. What gets refunded versus FCC? Is it port fees and taxes that are refunded, and the balance is FCC? Dan
  15. Not a true test of the island handling two Oasis class ships. I hope they don't make any sort of judgement based on this. Dan
