  1. 102 days until we sail on the Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan PR!
  2. Thank you all for the suggestions/recommendations for purchase of the Deluxe Beverage Package and thanks for correcting my terminology regarding this package. My bad thinking it was the UDP which definitely refers to the Ultimate Dining Package.
  3. My wife and I are booked on the Freedom of the Seas for a cruise out of San Juan to the Southern Caribbean between 5/24-5/31/20. Our Cruise Planner is now showing the UDP at buy one and get the second for 50% off or $51/person vs. the regular rate of $55/person. I'm holding out to see if a better deal will be released prior to our cruise. Am hoping a deal under $50/person may come available, but only RCCL knows. Your thoughts? Guess I can buy now and if a better deal shows up I can cancel and re-purchase the new one. Thanks for your opinion/advice.
  4. Thank you all for the quick replies to my inquiry. Our best options for flying are SAT and AUS.
  5. Hi Cruise Critic Experts, We're taking a cruise with Freedom of the Seas next May 2020 out of San Juan PR. We live near San Antonio and Austin TX airports. Can any of you that live near these cities that have cruised on the Freedom out of San Juan provide the best recommendations/options for flying to San Juan for this cruise? We plan on flying down a couple of days early to get acclimated and enjoy some of the sites in San Juan. We're leaning towards flying with Southwest Airlines; however, their scheduling is not opened up yet for that time frame. We are open to all suggestions, recommendations, and/or options. Thanks a bunch. Lee
  6. Thank you Clarea. We would fly from SAT to DAL then on to SJU. Appreciate the tip.
  7. Hi Cruise Critic Friends, My wife and I will be sailing on the Freedom of the Seas next May 24, 2020 out of San Juan on a Southern Caribbean cruise. We are so looking forward to this adventure. We live in San Antonio, TX and plan on flying down to San Juan at least a day (maybe two) before the cruise departs. Does anyone have any recommendations on what airline to use to fly down from San Antonio, TX to San Juan? We normally fly with Southwest Airlines and know they fly down there but other airlines may have better options on getting there earlier in the day. Any suggestions or recommendations is appreciated. Thank you very much for the help.
  8. Not sure if this is the right forum for my question but here goes; My wife and I are booked on the Freedom of the Seas for next May 2020 and we are flying in from the states a day early staying at the El San Juan Hotel. Does anyone know if there are any wine stores near that hotel to purchase some wine to take on board for our cruise? Thank you.
  9. Enjoy your cruise. We are on the same cruise next May 2020. Look forward to your review.
  10. Again, thank you Ckarea for pointing me in the right direction. I will continue my research on nailing down a suitable hotel before they are all booked up.
  11. Thank you for clarification on which pier the Freedom embarks and disembarks. I was a bit confused thinking it used one of the piers in Old San Juan. Any suggestions on good hotels in and around the Pan American Piers? Its been several years since my wife and I were in Puerto Rico. I know hotels prices are at a premium there. Thanks again.
  12. We've booked a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan for next May 2020. Can someone tell me which terminal the Freedom sails out of in San Juan? Is it Pier 1, 2, or 3 or Pan American Piers 1 or 2? Thank you.
