  1. I would suggest you stay in Houston--at least the first couple of days. You will be quite tired from the long flight and the traffic/drive straight from airport to Galveston would be rather exhausting. There are many interesting things to do in Houston for the family and hotel prices are much better than in Galveston. It's about an hour drive from central Houston to Galveston. Definitely go to NASA and also the Houston zoo is one of the best we have ever been to. It will be hot in August, but the zoo grounds are actually quite shady. We stayed at a Hilton property that was within walking distance of the zoo...there were good restaurants in the vicinity. I would say you will need a rental car. Have a great visit and cruise!
  2. Thanks for this reminder/information. So...if you wanted to get from Williamsburg, Brooklyn area on a Saturday about 1-1:30pm to Cape Liberty cruise port by 3pm, which car company would you recommend? We would want to reserve ahead of time for a confirmed pick up time. Thank you for your attention.
  3. Thanks for this information about car servicess. We are needing a car service from Williamsburg, Brooklyn area to Cape Liberty on a Saturday and will be a rush as we are attending a bridal shower yet trying to board our ship by 3pm for 4pm departure. I have looked at map driving info and it can be anywhere from 40 mins to 90 min drive. Reliable Brooklyn car service that you all can recommend?
