  1. This PDF shows the upgrades, are standard spirits just house brands, or are they name brands? https://www.azamara.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/beverage_onboard_flyer_jan_2020_web.pdf
  2. Celebrity had a special where you could not select the exact gratuities. It ran I think last weekend. Bev, Wifi and Gratuities was the only option. Keep an on the specials they might offer more choices later.
  3. We cruise Celebrity with our kids from the ages of about 7 and 9 to the last family cruise when they were 15 and 17. They loved Celebrity and were never bored. They were also instructed to be respectful of otheres and be on their best behavior at all times or that would be the end of cruising for them. We cruised for our preferences and not the kids and loved that Celebrity fit our taste so well and the kids enjoyed the quality time with us, entertainment on the ship, and the fun we would have ashore. The Mouse we never our thing other than a couple of trips to Disney World, and we couldn't see paying more than twice as much for a cruise that would cater to the kids. Celebrity was a good fit for Mom and Dad, and if the kids wanted to come along they had to like it too. We did Royal once when they were 17 and 19 when my Sister picked the ship. We liked the variety of entertainment and activities on the ship, but found the dinner service to be not at good and the inward facing ship took away from out enjoyment of the ocean. Everyone is different and has different taste, so not saying one is better for families than others, but we loved Celebrity with our kids.
  4. Agreed, have the TA Escalate through their sales channel or supervisor or something.
  5. I have another question. Having never been to Amsterdam, I am trying to figure out if it would be possible to take a water taxi or chartered boat from a city center hotel to the cruise port. I was thinking that this would just be a really unique way to see the canals of the city before we make our way to the ship. I looked on google map and it is just hard to see where the ship embarks in realationship to the building and the eantrance and the canals. I got a quote from one boat company who can pick us up at the Hilton, which is closer to the museum district, so we are leaning that way. We have Hilton Points and can stay there for free, and we thought we'd see more of the city by staying there rather than the Double Tree or the Hampton. The boat company said that they can drop us off right out side the Movenpick hotel. I am just trying to figure if the logistics of trying to do this with luggage makes it a stupid idea.
  6. It must be so difficult to book on the Celebrity site with their poor IT. When I call my travel agent she will quote me the price with and with-out perks. She has to select the promo before the prices come up. Then she sends me with and with-out perks, so much easier than trying to deal with the Celebrity web site. She sometimes offers me group rates too.
  7. Just Checked out the Dam Boat Guys web site. They must be struggling during this pandemic, but sure do have a good sense of humor about the whole thing.
  8. Tell me about your pre-cruise stay before and Amsterdam Departure on Celebrity. Did the embarkation take place at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam or Felison Terminal. Where did you stay pre-cruise? We are considering the Double Tree or the Hampton which are close to the cruise terminal, but wonder if we'd be better off staying closer to the museums and other attractions. There is a Hilton that seems to be close to the attractions, but pretty far from the cruise port.
  9. It used to be that the RCCL Share holder benefit was not combinable with the other promotions. I was reviewing a 2019 update that seemed to be a new policy? Are we able to combine the Shareholder OBC with 2 Perks and the Pricing Discounts or OBC Offers? It used to not work that way, but wondering if it does now?
  10. Not sure it it has been mentioned, but my TA, who is part of larger national chain of travel agencies has an exclusive deal where she can get me the Non-Refundable Price and Perks with but with a Refundable deposit. This is on any Celebrity cruise. Just another reason to book with a good service oriented TA vs booking on line.
  11. Here is her Itenerary: BCN, Naples, Civitavecchia, Livorno, Cannes, Palma de Majorca, BCN. That looks like it never leaves the union. Maybe she should just pay as she goes. 12. She has already made final payment, sailing the in Late April Early May, so re-pricing or cancel and rebook is not an option. So back to my original question, and I think someone answered it earlier that there is no point at which they will be out side the EU where she could purchase with-out the VAT, so any idea what the VAT tax % is? She called Norwegian and they rep she talked to had no clue what a VAT tax even was, so not help there. I guess she could keep calling until she got someone who had a clue?
  13. The first and second guest in the room have the included beverage package promotion. I am not aware of any promo that includes it for the 3rd or 4th person in the cabin. My friend is the 3rd person in the room so she doesn't get the promo and is planning purchasing it either ahead of time or on board and we are trying to figure out if it is better for her to use her TA provided $300 OBC and purchase on board, or is the VAT tax going to be more than that?
