  1. You are right! Apparently we could also book the massage for a percentage discount. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
  2. Nope, we are Yacht Club. Our TA is checking on it and I will come back and update when she gets an answer! But, you might be correct!
  3. We have sailed on MSC a number of times, almost always in Yacht Club. Our latest cruise documents list the following two items we have never seen before. Anyone know anything more about them? How we access them/book them? Are they free or at a discounted price? Many thanks! WORLD OF CHOICE Pre Cruise: 1 free cruise change* Specialty restaurants package, exclusive pre-cruise offer available up to 2 days prior to embarkation Balinese massage, exclusive pre cruise offer available up to 2 days prior to embarkation
  4. In general my husband found the cobblestones to be very rough throughout our entire time in Florence, He uses a mobility scooter, if that helps.
  5. My husband uses both a scooter and a walker full time. The Meraviglia is very user-friendly, but... there will probably not be room in a regular balcony stateroom to get the scooter in and parked. And you cannot leave it in the hallway for safety reasons. We had a non-HA cabin on the ship a couple of years ago in the Yacht Club and managed. But it was still a little tight. Certainly, the smaller the scooter, the better!
  6. Let me say this is our 4th MSC cruise in Yacht Club and our TA is out of the country on her own (well-deserved) cruise... We are booked in the Yacht Club on the Seashore out of Port Canaveral on November 20, 2023. When filling out the Special Needs form for my husband I noticed different wording on our reservation. It says we have an ESCAPE TO SEA CRUISE ONLY FARE. If we were in any other level of service I know that would mean we need to book our beverage and wi-fi packages separately. But, is it the same with a Yacht Club booking? Thanks for any light that can be shed! ETA: If I look at the Member Benefits due to us it lists the Premium Extra Drink Package and the Premium Internet Package as well as access to the Thermal Spa.
  7. Thanks! We are going to watch it this morning. 🙂
  8. I agree 100%. Our MSC YC cruise that was a S2S with our Haven experience was canceled the week before we left for Rome. We quickly rebooked the Escape for a second week (with almost the exact same itinerary) but The Haven accessible cabin was not available. We moved to an aft-facing cabin and booked a few specialty restaurants and found a less busy bar and "voila"... had our own Haven Lite. Loved every bit of that week also!
  9. If this is what you are asking: We didn't particularly care for the check-in procedure but our feelings are colored by the fact that every single person getting on board had to get into the same line to go through a tent to prove "seaworthiness" as far as Covid was concerned. Also, help with luggage was non-existent and assistance to find Haven check-in really wasn't there. Since we were in Italy it did occur to us it was a language issue, but it should have been pretty obvious to anyone just looking at us that we needed some help: I had 4 suitcases (3 week trip) and my husband is in a mobility scooter. But we had to continuously ask for pointers on where to go. Signage was not very obvious although it was in multiple languages. Once on the ship things were GREAT!
  10. Well, let's get it out of the way and say we like the Yacht Club better. That is not to say The Haven wasn't lovely! Our preference is purely personal. We had the most amazing cabin... it was HUGE because it was accessible and our amazing concierge Dilip went out of his way to make certain our stay was all it could be. Out butler Jojit was also wonderful. However, we found the lounge area to be small/cramped and have been spoiled by the views from the YC lounges. One bartender and one wait person and truly, that is all that was needed. We weren't fans of the enclosed pool area particularly and the sun deck was packed so we didn't spend much time up there. The food in the restaurant was very good and presented beautifully but the lack of variety made us very happy we had the specialty dining package to use 3 nights. Would we stay in The Haven again? Possibly if we got a fantastic deal. Would we stay in the YC again? Always.
  11. I won't post it. But I really do appreciate the information.
  12. Good morning, I know the Seaside has been chugging away since May but I saw a letter from a passenger onboard her now that sounds a bit more ominous. There was a technical inspection of a new issue that is persistent. MSC is allowing passengers to stay on the ship with a 50% discount or disembark for a full refund. The cruises on July 10 and 17 have been removed from the website and I have been told by someone on the 10th sailing that her cruise has been cancelled. We are supposed to board her on the 17th. Our TA knew nothing of this as of last evening. Does anyone have any more information on this? Thanks for any insight.
  13. We can board at 10:00 which I assume is probably one of the earliest times. The Seaside isn't scheduled to arrive until 8:30 so I cannot imagine being able to get on any earlier. I will say, we are always out of our cabin early. We like to enjoy breakfast before we disembark and under normal circumstances are off a ship by 8:30 or 9:00 at the very latest. I can't imagine we are the first passengers in the history of cruising with this same problem. 🤣 But I will certainly take your fine advice about speaking to the butler or concierge once we figure out how we are getting from one terminal to the other. That will help us determine a better time frame. Thank you @GeezerCouple
  14. This is a fairly convoluted question so I hope I can explain it as succinctly as possible! We are in The Haven for the July 10 sailing out of Civitavecchia. We get back into port around 6:00 AM on July 17. We then disembark The Escape and board the MSC Seaside in the Yacht Club (she arrives around 8:30 AM). How late could we stay on The Escape without being rude. We can board the Seaside at 10:00. We just realized we probably need to prearrange some type of transportation between terminals! Any suggestions other than hiring a private driver (we already are using Rome Cabs for 3 other tours/transfers) and that seems like overkill to get from one ship to another.
  15. @cruisemom42 and @bennybear... thanks for your thoughts and recommendations. Have sent an email to RomeCabs to see what they can offer since they are already familiar with Bob's mobility issues. We are in The Haven on the first cruise and in the Yacht Club on the second so we may be able to remain on board a little longer and embark a little sooner and simply need a transfer from Terminal to Terminal. This is why I plan ahead and go over plans many, many times before we travel. There is always the chance that I have missed something. Luckily we have 12 days to work this little glitch out. Thanks again.
  16. We have booked with Rome Cabs for transportation while we are in Rome and to and from the port for our cruises. Our only previous experience is with ports in the US and Barcelona where drivers drop you right at your ship. Is this the same situation in Civitavecchia? My husband is disabled (they are aware of this) so knowing what awaits us would ease my mind. As a follow-up... we are doing B2B cruises, but not with the same cruise line. How do people move from ?terminal? to terminal in cases like that? We will have his scooter and our luggage for a 3-week trip in Italy. Are there taxis right at the port? Thanks for any light you can shed!
  17. No apology necessary! I wonder if it is the distance to or from Corfu from the ports on either side of the stop there that is affecting the ability to port there? It is the only thing I can think of!
  18. We are on the Escape leaving Rome on July 10 and Corfu is still on our itinerary. We had a couple other small itinerary changes but not that.
  19. I can't answer all your questions and many will need to know which ship you are sailing to help further, but I can let you know one thing: There is plenty of room in an accessible cabin for your scooter; they are very roomy. Also, on the pool deck there should be an out of the way area to put your scooter so that it allows other passengers to move about easily. There are accessible bathrooms all over the ship so no worries there! Have fun!
  20. Do a mock booking and select Aft Facing Haven Penthouse. Then when asked to choose a cabin you can count how many are on each deck.
  21. We just changed our Escape booking from an aft-facing club balcony to an accessible courtyard penthouse in The Haven. I am headed back to the beginning of this delightfully written thread to see how much we are going to enjoy our first cruise in The Haven. We have often cruised in MSC's Yacht Club and we are looking forward to comparing the two experiences. We in fact get off the Escape and jump on the Seaside B2B in July out of Civitavecchia. 32 days and counting!
  22. Here is the link to that Roll Call
