  1. Bring a letter from the prescribing doctor with name and dosage instructions.
  2. Your TA can WL you for 6 different categories at once with a single deposit...declining 1 does not affect the others.
  3. Hulls are cleaned regularly as a dirty hull hurts fuel consumption and that is a HUGE expense. NZ's rules are off the chart in terms of normal but cruise lines comply. Regent paid to have a company that was APPROVED BY NZ clean the hull and the company failed.
  4. Anytime from date of booking until check-in when you board the ship.
  5. It required 6 extra staff housed in guest cabins as well as 2 budgeted staff (living in staff cabins) re-allocated from another dining area. That's a lot of money (especially the lost revenue) to keep it open.
  6. I've not set foot in the CR in the last 6 cruises - loved eating outside.
  7. Solo promotions are usually reserved for when the cruise line has a lot of unsold rooms. Ideally, the cruise line would have two paying guests in a cabin, not 1 guest paying a lesser amount. Having said that, Regent does offer specials for singles travelers and they will tell you about them if you call and inquire. Some of them are very attractive.
  8. Apologies - I wasn't disputing your facts...just adding to them.
  9. Make sure you confirm the price and fees BEFORE sitting for your appointment - we had cases where we were charged more than what was on the fee schedule.
  10. In the most recent data that I have seen, Navigator actually had faster internet (by a very small margin) than the other ships. All the ship have about 4 times the capacity (limited by hardware) than they currently contract bandwidth for.
  11. May this holiday season find you safe, happy and surrounded by friends with a cruise to look forward to!!!
  12. Not letting people? There is no prohibition against people meeting on Splendor or any other ship that I am aware of and I just got off of the Splendor.
  13. I hope you have a wonderful dinner and apologies for the fellow with the poor attitude...
  14. It may depend if the ship is in port or not. If in port, they may not have the rights to broadcast it. This was the case for the WC final - we had to go to a bar in Cozumel to watch it.
  15. I was on at the same time and found everything to be excellent with the exception of the pool bar waitstaff being overwhelmed on some days. I spoke to the F&B Manager about it and it was better the next day and remained better. Not worth reporting.
  16. Apparently we were on board together last week....
  17. I couldn't agree more. No entity is perfect and you can learn a lot about them from how they deal with an issue. If someone has a criticism, I am not saying don't post it. But it will help us all a lot more if you post how Regent dealt with your criticism. I just got off the Splendor on Tuesday and had a wonderful trip and didn't experience anything like what you are describing...not saying it didn't happen, just that perhaps it is more isolated than it appears.
  18. Me too - that's all I was asking for....the good with the bad...not just the bad.
