It is soooo frustrating trying to find a roll call, and even just signing in because google won't let me change my e-mail and so neither will cruise critic... help?? Looking for P&O cruise July 11th - can't see it anywhere???

I believe that a Viking Ocean cruise has already visited and know that the Regal Princess (huge ship) will be there tomorrow (Saturday, May 5th). Hopefully, we will soon receive some updated feedback on disembarkation in St. Pete.
Here's the cruise ship schedule for anyone interested:

yes it does so I think it will be interesting to watch the cruise lines during the next several months. See what they do if ship is 50% Americans and UK. Where do the go instead.
There are some of us Canadians and perhaps Australians as well...
We’ll see if they change that port...

Finger crossed for October 26-27th stay pre-cruise on Summit
So, what was it like?
-
We will be back on Summit in three weeks fro Canada New England. Our attitude to the older ships is changing. We were in AQ and Blu two weeks ago and enjoyed it. Service was great.
Our next cabin will be an oceanview. Our balcony did not get more than 10 minutes use for the whole week to Bermuda.
We really miss the deleted (Normandie) dining room that was downgraded to Tuscan.
We like Summit but not as much as we used to.
Interesting. You'll probably be where we live in 3 weeks, then! We're in Halifax - any questions?

You decide on what you wish to pay for a cabin on a cruise, all the cabins go to the same destination.
Celebrity assigns loyalty points to each level. The more you pay, the more points you receive.
When you look up cabin prices, be prepared for sticker shock. AQ is double a Balcony cabin on some cruises with no/little increase in the size of the room
Inside
Ocean View
Balcony
Concierge: On some ships, a bit larger, a few minor amenities
Aqua: You get access to a separate restaurant with fantastic service and the spa for certain types of access.
Suite: Big bucks for extra special treatment and access to a private lounge.
Thanks! Oh, OK, so they're just higher levels (aka more expensive). They still have all the regular ones. We usually do ocean view as we like to see out but don't spend a lot of time in our cabin, so would rather use that extra money for something else. Thanks for the explanation!
BTW, I'll be curious to hear how you liked the Summit as we're looking on a cruise on it, too.

I realize there's a thread (very old and with over 9,000 posts) on this, but I can't seem to find a simple explanation of what the cabin classes mean. We're looking at a Celebrity cruise (never been with them before), and can't figure out what Acqua, Concierge, etc, mean?
Thanks in advance!

My husband and friends are doing the transatlantic on the Monarch in May from Cartagena Columbia to Lisbon Portugal.
And my cousin and I are doing the Mediterranean Breezes on the Sovereign (Spain-Italy-France) at the end of October.
How did they like it? Would they recommend it?
Thanks,
Judy

I have a bid in on the Haven because so many people rave about it, but I can't help thinking that the money spent on the Haven is not far off from the cost of another cruise. What makes you bid on/book the Haven over booking a longer cruise or another cruise?

We will never pay the money for that. Even if we were millionaires, it's simply not worth the money to us. We're rarely in our cabin, anyway, so would much rather get another couple of cruises out of the money! (I'm an accountant, BTW).

Thanks for the info!

Hi all,
We're doing this exact cruise in August. It is our first cruise, ever, so being complete newbies, we're just learning. Can you explain what laundry day means? Any other tips for newbies?
We're sooo looking forward to it!!
Thanks!
