  1. @dani negreanu Thank YOU, Dani!!, I have also learned sooo much from this thread!!! 🤗 I am very grateful that you started this thread waaaay back in April of 2020 during those scary early days of Covid. Having somewhere to go to read about how others were coping with the virus and the lockdown and later the promising results that you were reporting about Israel’s success with the vaccine was very comforting. As the world began to “open back up again” your thread was (and still is) the first thread I read, because I wanted to find out how and what my “Cruise Critic Buddies” were doing. I think it’s great that so many people feel comfortable sharing their joys and sorrows as well as bits and pieces of their everyday lives in this community that you’ve created. And even though I don’t post very often, I truly enjoy reading your thread regularly. So many of us have been able to benefit from the information that is shared on your thread. I know I have enjoyed learning about others cultures, customs, travels, household and gardening tips, recipes, etc. and I look forward to many more!! I found this New Year’s wish that I would like to share with you and my “Cruise Critic Buddies” ☺️ ❤️ Sue
  2. This is why we New Englangers live where we do... Absolutely!! There is sooo much natural beauty here! 😎 Gotta love it 🥰 The angle of the sun and your composition for these photos and the ones in your earlier post really capture the beauty of our beaches. Does the Westerly Chamber of Commerce or any other organization put out a calendar with local photos?? If so, I am sure they would love to use some of your photos!! They remind me of some of the paintings and prints I’ve seen in the shops in Watch Hill.
  3. Before I start trying to catch up with 3 days of posts… I want to send greetings to @dani negreanu and everyone else who celebrates Hanukkah.
  4. My goodness! You’ve had an even longer connection with some of the members of your team than I realized! That would make it even more difficult for both those team members and for you to say goodbye. 😢 They must love that you display their pictures and football things. It seems that you and the students share a mutual admiration. ☺️
  5. Awesome sunset photos! @Ocean Boy I especially like the composition of that first one. Regarding the seniors on your football team: You write about them like a proud Papa😊🥲 You have been a part of their lives for four years now. During this time, you’ve witnessed their growth from boys to young men. I can understand why you would feel emotional at the end of their final football season. I’m sure the players are going to miss their team Doc just as much as you will miss them. I’ll bet many of them will come back to visit you next year and beyond. Take care, Sue
  6. Yes, I agree! They just appeared one day a couple of months ago - a nice addition. They are a bit weathered and splintery, but fine to sit in as long as you are not in just a swimsuit. There is a tall flagpole behind the chairs that makes a clanging noise when it gets very breezy. The sound reminds me of the sounds you hear at a seaport.
  7. Well, I think you may like to see a few of the pictures that I took earlier today. 😎 It was so beautiful and warm (71° F) and sunny here in SE “New” England today!! We took a short ride to the small local beach near us that’s on Narragansett Bay. (It is a bay in RI that flows into the Atlantic Ocean.) It appears that the sea was much calmer up here than it was down where OB was - which is south and west of where we were.
