  1. Actually though I left Chicago over 30 years ago I’m still a White Sox fan, talk about hurting all over, the White Sox are pathetic, with a pathetic owner, a pathetic GM, a pathetic manager and pathetic players.
  2. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 69 this AM with a high of 86 and lots of sunshine. Never heard of Beltane Day but who hasn’t heard of Bugs Bunny, one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever, Whats up doc. When I was a kid and went to a Saturday matinee with 25 Cartoons, Bugs always got the loudest cheers. Good quote. Pass on the meal. Going to grab some sunshine today at the beach. My Lightning were eliminated in their first round playoff with the guys from the other side of the state, oh well, now I can concentrate on the baseball season. Have a great day and stay well.
  3. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 65 this morning with another sunny day coming up and a high of 84. Good selection of days. Great quote on real friendship. I’ll pass on the meal. My parents were married 79 years ago today and I showed up 10 months later, my father was in the Navy and came home to Chicago right before Germany surrendered, he was injured at Normandy when his ship stuck a German mine off Utah Beach, he was one of the few survivors losing many of his ship mates. He returned to England where he recovered from his wounds and spent his remaining service time there before returning home in mid April of 1945 and my folks married a couple of weeks later. Have a great day and stay well.
  4. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. It’s 69 this morning heading up to 83 with sunshine. Very good days. I’m not sure about the quote, the percentages might be skewed a bit. I’m in on the meal. Heading off to church in a couple hours, it’s Palm Sunday in the Greek Orthodox Church. The Lightning are still alive as they beat the Panthers 6-3 yesterday but the odds are still against them winning the series as they must win the next 3 games. Have a great day and stay well.
  5. It was working on my I phone but not the I pad, now everything is back to normal.
  6. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 66 this AM with a high of 86 and more sunny skies. Good selection of days as is the quote. Though I’m not wild about cauliflower, I’d give the meal a try. 2 more weeks until our cruise on the Enchanted Princess to St. Thomas, San Juan and Princess Cays. We finished in 3rd place and cashed in the last Men’s Golf Assn. tournament of the season. Tough scramble format with everybody teeing off from the Senior tees but for every birdie the team made we had to move back 1 tee box so by the 7th hole we played the rest of round from the back tees which was sort of brutal for some old fogies but we managed 3 more birdies and never made a bogie, if you did bogey a hole the team moved up a tee box. We wound up with a 65 which considering the game I thought we did quite well but couldn’t believe when we were finished that the first place team shot 60, trust me, that was phenomenal. Have a great day and stay well.
  7. Jazzy, I’m not holding my breath on the Lightning coming back to win the series.
  8. Your photos bring back memories of our Greek Island cruise from Istanbul to Athens on the R 1 in 1999 which was one of 8 identical ships built by Renaissance Cruise Line, not sure if you are sailing on the original R 1 but the ship looks like it has held up extremely well after 25 years.
  9. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. It’s 65 this AM heading up to a warm 87 with the usual sunny skies. Good selection of days. Some chuckles with the quote by Mel Brooks who is one funny guy, his Young Frankenstein is my favorite movie comedy of all time. Not sure about the meal. My Tampa Bay Lightning are toast as they have lost the first 3 games of their playoff series against the Florida Panthers, the Bolts need a miracle. Today is our last Men’s Golf Assn. Tournament of the season. Most of the Snowbirds have already headed north with only a few still here. Traffic has thinned out and the restaurants aren’t as crowded, hallelujah! Have a great day and stay well.
  10. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. A pleasant 64 this AM heading up to 84 with sunny skies. Good selection of days. I’m not sure about the quote. Pass on the meal. We have been to Santorini, one of the best Greek Islands. Had a good round yesterday beating my age by 1 shot with a smooth 77 with 2 closies but my 3 teammates struggled and we finished last in the team game. Have a great day and stay well.
  11. We have sailed on the Equinox 6 times and agree with everything you said except we aren’t wild about the production shows, a couple of them have been around for 6 years. The Equinox is a wonderful ship and one of our favorites and look forward to see what she will look like after the dry dock.
  12. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 62 this AM with another sunny day and a high of 82. Good selection of days. I’ll ask DW about the quote. DW makes some pretty good salmon cakes but I prefer a nice slice of fresh broiled Alaskan salmon. I’ve had one Mimosa in my 78 years. My Lightning are in trouble after losing 2 tough games to the Panthers both by 3-2 scores with last night in overtime. The series moves to Tampa and hopefully they win both games and tie the series. Have a great day and stay well.
  13. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. A bit cooler this AM at 59, a high of 80 this afternoon with lots of sunshine. Good selection of days I don’t agree with the quote. Not sure about the meal. Believe it or not but we have never been to Hawaii. Not a golf day but we are still up early as we heading to Quest for a 6AM appointment for our annual blood work. It was cart paths only on the golf course yesterday with a lot of walking, I had a nice round going but my arthritic knees gave me problems late in the round and I bogeyed the last 5 holes. Scottie Scheffler did it again winning the RBC Heritage Classic, it’s still early in his career but this guy might be on his way to being the best golfer ever. Have a great day and stay well.
  14. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 70 right now with partly cloudy skies and a high of 80, had some well needed showers come through about 2 hours ago. Good selection of days. The quote is good also. I think most everyone likes Coleslaw. We have been to Mykonos, IMHO the prettiest of the Greek Islands. My Lightning were beat by the Panthers yesterday in game 1 of their Stanley Cup Playoff series, gotta get them tomorrow night. Have a great day and stay well.
  15. HAL continues to make horrible decisions, who the hell is in charge in this disaster of a cruise line. They lost our business about 19 months ago and not sure if we will ever sail with them again.
  16. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 70 right now with a high of 82 along with sunny skies. Good selection of days, I love chocolate and cashews are my favorite nuts but it doesn’t seem like chocolate covered cashews is a good mix. The quote is funny in a way. I’ll pass on the meal. We’ve been to Trinidad and Tobago 3 times on cruises all on the Volendam in the late 1990s. I always thought that Hound Dog and Don’t Be Cruel were Elvis Presley’s first hits, I had the 45 with both songs on the flip sides. OK, it’s the Lightning and the Panthers this afternoon, GO BOLTS. Have a great day and stay well.
  17. The Lightning and Panthers are playing Sunday afternoon, not this afternoon.
  18. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 70 right now with another day of sunny skies and a high of 85. Interesting days but let’s have Chinese Food instead of Chinese Language day. I’ve never had Cheddar Cheese French Fries. No comment on Cli-Fi day. Pretty good quote. The meal sounds good but without the Brussel Spouts. It’s Saturday morning so that means breakfast out at our favorite diner. The Stanley Cup Playoffs start today, we have a battle of Florida with the Lightning facing off against the Panthers this afternoon, Go Bolts! Have a great day and stay well.
  19. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 70 this AM with another great day ahead with sunshine and a high of 85. Good selection of days, I had a hernia operation about 16 years ago but from @grapau27 description, this one sounds scary. I’m a voracious reader but I’ve never read a Stephen King book however his quote is spot on. The meal and the drink work for me. Off to the course in a half hour, Men’s Golf Assn. tournament today which is a 4 man Shamble, fun format, some guys have already have headed north and we are down to 9 teams, in season we usually have at least 12 teams. If I was a snowbird and spending my summers in Chicago and much as I hate cold weather I wouldn’t head back north until June, I speak from experience spending the first 47 years of my life in the Windy City, as they say, Chicago has 2 seasons, July and winter. Have a great day and stay well.
  20. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 69 right now with another great day on tap with sunny skies and a high of 86. Good selection of days. Im not sure what started when the dog received free rollover minutes but it sounds cute. I’ll pass on the meal. One of these days I’m going to try the drink of the day but is it the same as a Long Island Iced Tea which I never tried. Had a nice day yesterday on the golf course beating my age by 1 with a 77 but we lost the team game by one stroke. Have a great day and stay well.
  21. Ottahand, the Caps played very good the last few weeks, about a month ago they were just about history.
  22. Jazzy, I have chap in my golf group who is a Penguin fan and I gave him the business this morning.
  23. Hoping your foot gets better as does your depression.
