That is how I am too. I do not drink much at home (maybe 1 or 2 over the weekend) but yeah on vacation I let loose. 7 Drinks per day on vacation is not that much if you spread it out. Now if you do all 7 drinks say in a 3 hour span in the evening, yeah that might not be good.

I will be on that cruise too. I hope to be able to watch some of the World Series too. Cannot wait!! Also Eagles in addition to the Sunday Game will also be the Thursday Night game that week on the cruise which coincidentally is against the Houston Texans.

At a minimum if you both want to buy the deluxe beverage package I would say combined you would both then need to consume minimum 12 alcoholic drinks per day at the max price point allowed to get your money's worth. Now obviously that would vary if you also will have non alcoholic beverages or drinks that are a few bucks cheaper. My only recommendation I tell anyone who buys the deluxe beverage package is do not drink beer during that cruise, use it only for the good stuff up to the max point and any non alcoholic drinks you want to mix in.

That ship looks incredible. I do not think I would even want to leave the ship when in port.

We will be on Anthem end of the month. We have costumes for our kids and my wife and I will dress up too.

My philosophy on tips is simple. Whatever the cruise line charges for tips is what I pay. I will of course not go to guest services and request less but I am not going to tip more as well.

Yeah as others said in these current times that is probably the best you will get.

If the itinerary is very port intensive with 1 sea day where my time on the ship will really be just in the evening for dinner and shows then the ship does not matter as much and a ship like Enchantment will be fine. But if the itinerary is more relaxed with a few sea days or in general I know I will be spending more time on the ship then the ship will matter and I will want a newer style ship with more features.

That is part of the reason why we booked the 8 day cruise on Anthem in 2 weeks because of the extra stop in Miami which is from 7AM - 5PM (plus the deal was incredible when we booked it).

I am going to be on the 8 night anthem cruise on Oct 29th and it says we are in Port Canaveral from 12PM - 8PM.

Do not worry, the soda police will not come after you if you take a sip of your wife's coke. Now if you take 2 sips that is a different story.

Is there a DX in your set sail pass online? If so then you are good.

I completely misread the topic. I had it in my head as "Alcohol, Free Wine" thinking someone was seeing if there was a way to get free wine on the ship 🙂

I can absolutely understand the scenario if the teen was sailing with neither of their parents but if you already have one parent with you there should be no need for this. It is ridiculous that proper paperwork would be required.

Every person is different. You need to figure out what is best for you. For some they do not care about the price and will pay it upfront so that they do not have to worry about any surprise charges after the cruise even if they do not get their money's worth. My advice if you get the drink package is do not drink any beer, try different drinks you may have never thought of trying because you can always toss it if you do not like it and get something else.

My advice is to call. More than likely you will get the answer you received in this thread BUT it never hurts to call just in case.

The deluxe beverage package does include canned soda. But yes the soda package and the refreshment package does not officially include Canned Soda.

I apologize if my comment came off as slamming the OP, it was meant as a joke. With that said if there was ever an itinerary that offered multiple days at Coco Cay then I would certainly jump on it if the timing worked for me.

Great pics you have been taking. Gets me more excited for our cruise on Anthem at the end of the month. My kids are looking forward to the bumper cars (and me too)!!!
