  1. That restaurant is a licence deal with some artist (Britto?), I don't think they can back out that easily. I also think based on cost it will be pretty much empty most of the time, but time will tell.
  2. I mean, maybe not....I don't do much more then $100 a day, so it would have to be a cruise were I hit enough to play for quite a while on the machine I guess. :) Here is to hoping!
  3. Great explanation, thank you. So first play it will create the casino account for me. :)
  4. So basically if I use my cash (I bring cash for the slots) do I check into the machine with my medallion and I am good, or do I need to sign up for some Players Club thing? LOL You would think I would have asked this years ago but first time back on Princess in a very long time and they seem to be more generous with casino stuff then NCL is.
  5. Stupid follow up. I always play casinos (a little) on my cruises, but I never join the casino at sea clubs. Do you need to have a casino card for these offers, or do they base it off your room card (which you generally insert when you play any slot machine)? Thanks!
  6. We were on the Grand and it was in such disrepair we swore off Princess. It was before I knew things like you should look up the last time a ship was in dry dock before you book it. LOL It went to dry dock just months after we sailed.
  7. I actually think if anyone wanted to use the space enough to pre-book then they would absolutely book on board if still available (which it is based on reviews of how empty it is). So, IMHO, pre-booking only matters if the space is very popular and sells out every sailing (like the NCL vibe).
  8. Based on a review done here on just the last sailing it is more apparent that no one way buying the passes and Princess is just trying to get the money up front rather then leave the area almost completely unused.
  9. I don't normal sail Princess, wanted to try the new ship within a ship concept. Are they always this consistent at being horribly inconsistent?
  10. I am in January and in S9 (Suite) and cannot book anything restaurant wise, it says nothing available for everything.
  11. There should be plenty of new reviews (depending on when you cruise). I think that the difference in suite guests would be equal to the same number of passes they were selling onboard. Now, I admit they probably could not sell those passes, but to me having people pay for a day pass into the suite sun deck is worse then having a larger group have access who paid for the room (as at least then you get the same guests and can get to know them, etc). Anyway, we will see for sure. I think the restaurant thing is all about bad design, one is always full, one is always empty, and they share a kitchen.
  12. I am S9 with Premier and just checked mine and do NOT have the Indicator line. Go figure. I think they are still trying to figure this out. LOL
  13. This is exactly correct from everything I have read. I am S9, and I pre-paid for premier. Since premier was not included for folks like me who booked last year, nothing has changed. I think the only real difference is instead of having folks who can buy their way into the sanctuary, we will have more people who paid for it up front. My guess is this is a reaction to zero people on board wanting to spend $90 per person per day to get in? Not sure honestly. Also, the restaurants share a kitchen and one had lines and one was always empty (Per @Sox Fan Cruiser who just came off the ship) so that move makes total sense to me.
  14. And I just checked my booking and they dropped the word Signature from it: DETAILS Stateroom:Suite, 16xxx, Category S9
  15. I watched a video the other day that showed the menu for drinks up there and they were not free. It was that Ben and David channel (I don't love it, but the ship was very relevant).
  16. I hope this is true in the Caribbean. (That not many will buy it) I know on NCL they get $250 for the adult only vibe area and it is sold out on every ship every sailing (but that is for the week). Thanks for all the info you have shared.
  17. So this sounds less and less like ship within a ship. You are telling me anyone onboard can go to the suite sun deck by simply paying a fee for a day or week? Just trying to understand as this is a new concept and of course I have not sailed Princess in a long time (and not in a suite).
  18. @Sox Fan Cruiser thanks for starting this, ignore the folks that say we are taking parts of the ship away from them (behind the locked door), you get them on every line. I am booked for Sun Princess in Jan 2025, I wanted them to have a full year to work out the kinks. I am a regular Haven sailor (NCL) and have YC (MSC) booked as well. Other then you list that I saw, I was hoping to find out: These are room related, which I didn't see as a subsection on your list yet 1. Is the mini bar included with your room or a la cart? 2. What types of snacks do you get in the room each day, and can you request snacks? 3. What are the branded items in the bathroom? Restaurant: 1. Is the menu static or rotating? If static does the chef do one special a night (since it is a la cart style, I wonder if the chef can riff) ? Thanks!
  19. @HBCcruiser This is not making me confident..... They need to get their ducks in a row.
  20. Do you change which Wineries you visit or do you have a set of favorites?
  21. So, the last time we sailed I told them I don't like the new wings, because I like them naked (no sauce) and they were still spicy. I got lucky and the manager at that time was one of the Haven restaurant folks and came out and told me they marinate all day in some type of pepper sauce. If you tell them you can't have that, they will (or did for me) go get fresh chicken wings and cook them. They were the way I remember them when we loved them. Of course, they took over 30 minutes to come. LOL
  22. Left in the important bits (on quoting you). Different strokes for different folks for us as well. When I started in my industry I was forced to wear 3 piece suits even though I was working under raised floors and in computer cabinets all day. I own a nice tux, it fits me well, I hate to wear it. My goal in life is mainly to be comfy and never dress up if I can avoid it. Like I said, we have different thoughts on it, so no worries, but this is exactly why I would never sail Cunard. I want to do a transatlantic, but they need to accept me and my shorts or we won't have a nice time. :D I am glad their are lines for both of us! That is what is great about cruising, there is a line for everyone, we just need to seek them out.
  23. Was this "Mary" cute, and did she have an upside down pineapple on her door? LOL
  24. Those are happy documentaries, I think she mentioned "for not good reasons" as part of the documentary she was referring to.
