  1. I know it is not related. (I did not say that it was). IMO the mini bar set has minimal value unless one is cruising with the Standard fare. If they are cruising with one of the package, I have a different question. Now, I see it is a true 14 day cruise without any segments, never mind.
  2. $40 a day to $50 a day, to the current $60 a day. It has been wild confusing ride. Let us hope that all the $50 a day pp booking have sailed before they increase the package to more than $60 a day. The current $60 a day price is still one of the best if not the best deal within Princess’s market. I am trying the Premier package for the first time in April.
  3. Are you cruising with the Standard package?
  4. I suggest you try logging into the AP on your phone using your booking number and name.
  5. The bids placed under the bidding process are per person for the total length of the cruise. It is not a per day amount.
  6. Yes. My point is that the mini bar can be swapped (different items, wine), it just cannot be swapped for something that no longer available on the ship. Many of us that purchase the Plus or Premier packages have several Elite benefits that are of no value to us. At least Princess offers one of the most competitively price Plus type packages. I do understand your point.
  7. You do realize that there is no longer a coffee only package or card? Cannot swap for something that does not exist.
  8. Suite bookings after December 1 no longer include an invitation for this experience. Positive reviews may be creating more interest. A lot of the discussion concerning reservations is centered around the suite passengers obtain their preferred times and some concern about any availability. Unlike the included two Speciality restaurant reservations included with the Premier package, you cannot book any 360 experiences on line without a payment. The letter that I received from Princess for my upcoming cruise said that since I booked prior to December to stop by the lounge for a reservation,
  9. Congratulations on the weight loss, 40 pounds is very impressive. Even more impressive to cruise for 63 days without gaining any weight. Walking a lot?
  10. Is the $2300 OBC from Princess or your TA? When I book a Celebrity cruise by TA gives me an additional OBC (always refundable) since Celebrity does not allow an equivalent discount on the price. When I book a Princess cruise with the same TA, I get the equivalent as a discount in the price.
  11. I am fairly certain that Princess made a change just this year. Canned soda is now part of the drink package. I just looked on the Princess website and can soda is not listed, so I might be mistaken.
  12. A lot of changes over a short period of time. What could possible go wrong? My suggestion would be to put a priority on getting (emails) with all the changes and double check that everything is as you expected. IMO that should be your focus. You want written proof and confirmation, Then you can focus on the actual refunds with the appropriate written documentation. From my experience, initial charges are made fairly quickly and refunds take a while. 30 days is certainly not unusual. Once you have received your final written confirmation concerning the cancelled HAL cruise, you can try disputing the charge after a couple of weeks. Seems like all factors considered, you have saved a significant amount of money. Good luck.
  13. I found this. Is this what you are referencing? Or was there some other items added in January 2024? Did you pay the current $80 per day per person for the Premier? also if you log into your Princess Account, click on Luggage tags and Travel Summary, and then Print summary, you will see what is included for you.
  14. True if it is a single Five week cruise that is not sold in segments. i recall a couple years ago when I cruise fro San Pedro to Tahiti and back on a single 28 day cruise. I received one mini bar set up.
  15. The only item that you ordered was a single pizza? No appetizer or desert? And you were on the SKY? I would say Princess cheated you. Some of the Princess ship’s only offer the Prix menu and not the a La carte,(limited menu). Either way it should have been clear in the menu. Nice explanation here. https://profcruise.com/new-princess-casual-dining-menus/ Or perhaps Princess has made a change?
  16. Sorry I took so long to get back. I recognize your name from the Celebrity forum. One really good thing about Princess’s Air over Celebrity is that with Princess you can cancel flights and make changes without the need to call in. I have attached three photos. (1) If you are willing to fly out of FLL, Princess has a pretty good rate with one stop each way on United Premium Economy for $2673. (2) if you are willing to fly out of Miami, Princess has a pretty good rate on Iberia Air Business with one stop for $3997. (3)Out of MCO, Direct with United has a one stop each way Business for $4314. All round trip fares. I have no idea if you consider this good pricing. Good luck
  17. Since most airlines are very flexible and allowing flight changes without fees and flight credits, I only use cruise company flights when it is significantly less expensive. I keep checking until the point where I can no longer change the Cruise Line flights without an additional fee. Make sure you do not just check two one way fares, especially on international flights. Check the multi city fares. I notice the most significant savings with T.A. or T.P. flights and cruises. One way International flights is where EZ air usually offers a very significant savings. I also try to fly a on a Oneworld airlines (preferred AA and non stop or one stop only).. But I also do not believe that EZ Air or other cruise lines, change from your selected flights to save money. I believe those changes are initially driven from a change that the airline makes. Working with a third party (EZ air) adds a level of complexity that may add to confusion. if I book directly with AA and they make a significant change (hours or cancel), they book me on another flight that their system thinks is better. If I do not like the change, I find a flight that I like better, call AA, and they change my flight without any additional cost. If you give us your Cruise ship/date and your originating city, we can show you an example. Good luck.
  18. Are you booked with either the Plus or Premier package. If yes, you can go to luggage/print summary and it will show you the benefits that you will receive.
  19. Just to clarify. The Premier package includes two speciality dining choices and the suite includes another one on the embarkation night, are you saying the new AP has an error and charges a surcharge depending on which location you select? This must be an error. I booked my on the older AP some time ago and nine of the information on either benefits states that there might be an upcharge?
  20. I know that Princess’s process seems strange. (I do not know why it was different for the cruiser who had an Auckland to Sydney segment that was different). From my experience, if you book a single 14 day cruise that is two 7 day segments, you receive the benefits as if the cruises were two 7 day cruises. Two Elite bar set ups, four speciality dining reservations (2 each) if you have the Premier, two first night specialty dining if you are in a suite, etc.
  21. Were you using the New AP or the Old AP? What do you mean by “paying the upcharge”?
  22. Works exactly the same with the medallion. Instead of scanning your card it scans your Medallion and the person manning the station see your picture on their screen. They manually recognize you.
  23. This is part of an email that I received this week. “ And because you booked a suite before December 1, 2023, it won't cost you a thing! This epic, seven-course journey transports you to the Mediterranean. We can’t give away the menu, but we can give you a sense (or five) of what to expect: Seven courses showcasing the best of Mediterranean cuisine perfectly paired with cocktails and wine Dazzling imagery in a room wrapped with hi-def screens Stunning hi-res sound for a unique sonic element Enticing aromas pumped into the atmosphere Captivating stories about the food you’re enjoying ? and the people who produced it Space is limited, so secure your seat at the table with your suite concierge as soon as you're on board.” looks like it is official.
  24. Cruise Raider is correct. I had to wait and initially I was confused when the credit did not appear immediately upon a cancellation.
