  1. Hi all, For Princess Connoisseur tours in Alaska, the itinerary says 1 app or soup or salad, one enteee and one dessert. Are servers accommodating if there is more than one app we want to try at a lodge? Or do they charge extra if we want an app plus soup and or salad? Curious if we will have to pay extra if there are a few apps we want to try during our meals. Thank you.
  2. Hi all, A couple questions regarding an upcoming Alaska cruise on the Grand and a paid for cruise with Amex Platinum. We have had our $200 amex platinum balcony credit applied to our account. 1. If we paid with Amex platinum and are getting a related OBC, where/when/how do we receive the Amex Platinum Princess coupon book? Is this something we can download? 2. Does anyone know what the Princess Amex coupons are? Are there any 2 for 1 dining coupons? If so, is there a way for us to apply this to a speciality dinner booking before we sail? Thank you.
  3. Hi all, We are looking forward to our first ever trip to Alaska. There are 4 of us. Currently we have a transfer with Princess from the anchorage airport to hotel captain cook. This is during the day around noon. I just realized the transfer is $136 for the 4 of us. It is only a 10 minute ride based on google maps. It seems we could get an Uber xl for $20. Is Uber ok to use? It seems he’d to justify an extra $100 for a 10 minute ride when Ubers and Lyfts should be available in peak season in June. Thank you.

  5. Interesting to see how celebrity headliners differ. We have never sailed with celebrity and have seen a couple of the Royal Caribbean juggler headliners over 5 times.
  6. Hi all, We are excited to experience the 16 piece orchestra on the icon. Has anyone seen the below show showcasing them? If so, what kind of music did they play and how was it? SHOWBAND! Live. Music. Now.: An event featuring 16 musicians
  7. Hi all, In over 20 cruises, Temperature Band who we saw on the wonder of the seas was the most above and beyond group. Does anyone know if they are still on the wonder and what ship they’ll be on next? Are there any other Royal Caribbean bands that stand out?
  8. Hi all, We are trying to figure out what ship to recommend for first time cruisers. We think they would love an oasis class ship. From an entertainment perspective, does one ship stand out show wise? I feel like allure and momma Mia would be great but the ship is due for a refurbished? Would Harmony with hairspray be the next best? How are the ice and diving shows? What about symphony? Thanks so much.
  9. Hi all, We absolutely loved Tap Factory. We hated the effectors as it was a show for kids that did not span the entire audience like most Royal Caribbean shows do. With tap factory now gone and the effectors geared for kids, is voices really the only theater show for adults (plus ice skating which was phenomenal on the wonder and diving)? Is Royal Caribbean going to add another show with the elimination of tap factory?
  10. Thanks. Is this far from the airport? Could it make sense for us to do this and pay $50 for our bags, saving $400 by not booking hop on hop off with Princess? Just wondering if it would make sense to come back to the hotel after hop on hop off before going to the airport? Thank you.
  11. Hi all, We are excited for our first ever trip to Alaska in June. It goes from Alaska to Vancouver. When we disembark in Vancouver, we will have a full day as our flight isn’t until 10pm. Does anyone have any recommendations for a full day in Vancouver? We are open to anything, whether a tour or spending some time in some of the best areas. So far we have been looking into the hop on and hop off tour. If we book with Princess it’ll be $150pp and they’ll take our luggage to the airport vs $50pp if we book direct without the ability to have bags taken to and stored at the airport. Does anyone have any recommendations on spending a day in Vancouver for first timers? Has anyone done the hop on hop off tour? If so how was it? It looks like the bus run from 9-5 which would allow us to spend some time at a few of the stops after the tour itself. If we don’t book hop on hop off with the cruise line, does anyone know what we could do with our bags? It seems like a lot to pay an extra $100pp for the same tour except for the ability to have bags taken to and stored at the airport. Thanks so much.

  16. Hi all, Does anyone know if Alaska sailings have the same dining menus as Caribbean and other ships and itineraries? Or are dining menus different with features for locally sourced salmon and seafood? Thank you.
  17. Hi all, Has anyone sailed Alaska and recommended speciality dining vs main dining? If fresh Alaska seafood is served, we wouldn’t want to miss that. But if speciality dining such as sabitinis and crown grill are worth the cost and better than main dining, we would be open to trying those for two of the seven nights aboard the grand in Alaska. Also does anyone know how much these two venues cost? Thank you.
  18. Hi all - does anyone know if all ships have the same juice bar menu? Does anyone have an example of the recent juice bar menu? Is it only open in the mornings? We will be in the grand and are looking forward to trying this. Thank you.
  19. Hi all - does anyone know if all ships have the same fitness classes? Does the grand princes offer cycling? We are wondering if cycling is an option for our princess plus fitness classes. Thank you.
  20. Hi all, Do any princess cruises feature fresh Alaska salmon and seafood? Also for crab shack - does Thai feature local Alaska seafood? Is this pop up dining choice for lunch part of the princess plus casual dining venue options? Would this be eligible for one of our two casual dining meals?
  21. Hi all, The below was originally released by Royal Caribbean as one of the shows on the icon. Is this cancelled? I haven’t seen anything about it or even rehearsals regarding it. I was really looking forward to seeing a show featuring the largest band at sea and their talents. SHOWBAND! Live. Music. Now. Will demonstrate the talents of 16 gifted musicians. Listen to woodwind, string, percussion, and brass instruments combined with the venue’s groundbreaking video and sound equipment.
  22. Hi all, We were recently aboard the Liberty of the seas and remain impressed with what cococay has become. Someone mentioned that in addition to the ship staff helping cook and clean for the day, there are around 600 full time staff who live on the island for 6 months at a time. I always thought the staff came in for the day from Nassau and that there were only a few full time staff as grounds keepers. Has this changed? Where do the full time staff live and what do jobs consist of? Do they get to go home to Nassau during the 6 months or is it like ship staff where they are away for many months at a time? Thanks for any information.
  23. Hi all, We were very excited about the second production show on icon being a showcase of the 16 piece band, the largest at sea. Since the launch, I haven’t seen anything about this second production show nor about the largest band at sea. Is this still a thing? Did something happen where the icon is no longer going to have this show with the 16 piece orchestra? Thank you.
  24. Hi all - is there a way to apply the free day of Diamond internet towards a pre cruise wifi purchase? For example, can one of the 7 days of the pre cruise purchase be free? If we wait to purchase it onboard, the Diamond discount would be a wash against the higher onboard internet pricing. Thank you.
  25. Thanks. So it seems that Park n Go would be $50 vs $20x4 OR $80 for parking at the pier. We could drop off the Senior at the pier with either option. Is Park n Go actually time efficient as well? It the shuttle to and from quick and can be on the road fairly quickly after departure vs going the parking at the terminal route?
