Glad she is having a good time.

I would do the passport too. You never know if you are going to need it.

Congratulations that is fantastic.

I loved all my cruises and the one coming up next week is exciting. My favorite cruise was the Mediterranean cruise for the ports. We had a port every day and it was very different for us to see a new country a day. HAL wasn't my favorite ship, it was very nice but I had a better time on Princess and Carnival.

I doubt there are any rooms connected inside for 3. We are using the balconies on our trip coming up in 2 weeks. We have 3 rooms in a row, no inside connecting doors.

Our last cruise with the kids (15,13,11) was on Princess. It was a Christmas cruise so it was really full and lots of kids. We book 2 rooms with connecting doors/balconies. The Princess line is a good choice and isn't a "party" ship.
I don't get the internet package and it is family time. We unplug and enjoy our vacation.
We are doing a Eastern Caribbean 8 day with 4 ports out of the port of Everglades. My kids have fun in the pools, kids clubs or just hanging out together. Your cruise is as good as you want it to be. Also do your research on the cruise stops and what you can do that will be great for kids. I don't like the party cruises and stops at bars.

We are a family of 5, kids 11,13,15. We book 2 rooms next to each other. Each adult must be booked into each room. When you get there you can change the sleeping arrangements.

For those dressy nights and you don't have a pocket. A bracelet with a hidden pocket for you card, cash or something small.
The Zen Zig-Zag Bracelet Wallet has small acrylic black beads and larger acrylic black and silver beads with a zig-zag pattern that give a sleek, polished, but fun look perfect for parties, dances, or just dressing up an outfit. The soft, non-scratchy black mesh bag with Velcro seal underneath the beading holds credit cards, IDs, cash, coins, business cards, Fitbits, keys (when laid flat), and items of a similar size.

I watched the news from the moment it was on. There really wasn't any clear understanding of how the airport was going to respond. People were fleeing everywhere for hours. I don't think the cruise lines could even give a clear answer except the airport was closed till further notice.
Would I have wanted to know if I was flying out that day? of course, so I could make other plans.
If I wasn't flying, I think I would like to stay in my vacation bubble.

My Mother has it noted when booking she needs a wheelchair for boarding. she uses a walker so that also needs to go with us. I'm hoping they allow us to help my Dad get Mom on the ship. We are traveling with kids so it's not ideal to split a family up while boarding. I will need to help my parents get on board and would hate to leave my husband with 3 kids on line.

We have 5 also. You have to book an adult in each room when booking but we have had a connecting balcony on Princess. There are connecting rooms on most ships but you have to book early.
Our next cruise is with Carnival and my parents are joining us. We booked 3 rooms in a row and the kids in the middle. I have requested the partition open but we will wait and see if we can.
Your kids will have a blast and use the kids clubs. We were able to see shows and even hit the casino.

You could also try the hotel and see if they have a service they use to the ship. If all else fails go with a Uber.

Service animals of course are OK.
As for pets, no since you can't clean up all the hair and dander from a stateroom or cabin. I am a huge animal lover but when you have family members who are severely allergic them, I have to say no. My daughter has a severe allergy that includes "hyper-allergenic" dogs. She and I both are allergic to Benadryl, so what do you do? No medicine to take to make you well.
Cruising is a clean place for those with these kinds of allergies.

We are a family of 5 and we do 2 rooms. Last cruise we had balcony room with the partition opened so we could go back and forth between rooms. There are other rooms with connecting doors but they were taken already. We are hoping to do the same on our cruise next month. A large suite is pricey and I doubt you could fit 7 in it, I think 6 is usually the most in one.

I had it for 2 days after the cruise last time. The sea bands actually worked for me on land. The funny part is I don't get seasick on any boat but get land sick when I get off.

Many of the people who were at the airport were transferred to the Port of Everglades till they could go back to the airport. So sad for all in involved.

Moe shooting in terminal 1 right now. Possibly parking garage according to th news.

We cruised with my 3 kids (12,10,8) 3 years ago. We had 2 rooms that were next to each other with balconies that were open to each other. When we booked it 1 adult and 1 kid were in 1 room. 1 adult and 2 kids in another. Never was a problem since we were next door.

Thank you:)

50 days to go

51 days till our cruise!!

Do the balcony partitions open between the rooms? We are cruising with my kids and there aren't any connecting doors inside.

Pretty much whatever you want you will get in yacht club. Bagels and lox is a definite, I'm not sure about French onion soup but shrimp and Ceasar salad were served. The buffet in YC had shrimp and scallops almost everyday.
