  2. I would pursue action thru your credit card sooner rather than later. Don't wait until it's too late. You may not get any of the extra "kickers" back but you should get the actual cash fare including taxes that you paid. Other cruise lines - e.g. Princess - are differentiating between "refundable" cash fare paid [even after choosing the bonus/goodwill option] and "nonrefundable" bonus/goodwill credits. I don't know anything about the contractual legalese or administrative/penalty fees but I do know that Crystal has been the worse cruise line to deal with out of the 6 - Azamara
  3. 1. Only fixed seatings in the MDR. Times are usually 6:00pm and 8:30pm. Never requested a 2-top so not sure how easy it is to reserve. 2. King's Court is a little hard to figure out. Mixed bag in terms of food. Offerings tend to be geared to Brits and, on some cruises, Germans. Not a problem for us. Have never eaten dinner there - only breakfast and lunch. Regarding the dress code: In most cases (see below), a gentleman will not be allowed in the evening into any dining room including specialty restaurants without a jacket and tie on formal nights. On informal evenings, a jacket (tie optional) is required. For those not wanting to wear a jacket, the Kings Court buffet and the pub (on ships where there is pub dinner) are options.   5. We find that people who have never cruised on Cunard tend to be the ones making statements about the "class system". People who book in the Grills are paying a big premium for the privilege. Doesn't bother us. We have made 11 voyages on Cunard and generally book inside cabins. We have good friends who always book in the Grills. We met them on the QM2 while playing trivia. Never was a hindrance there. Also have met and enjoyed the company of others aboard who were in the Grills. Sure, there may be some snobs but you can find them in every cabin category.

Yes, Cunard and Princess share the same past passenger numbers but that's about all aside from a past passenger discount. Your TA may be confusing PRINCESS Platinum with CUNARD World Club Platinum.   7. The reason that there is currently nothing on the website might partly be because Princess must first transfer current cabin bookings from the Sky to the Caribbean. This includes figuring out what to do with cabin categories from the Sky that do not exist on the Caribbean.   8. If you are able to do so, file a dispute with your credit card company now. We filed 60 days after cruise cancellation in late July and received permanent credit in early November. Why are you waiting?
  9. We are also booked in October on the Sky Princess for a 7-day sailing. One possibility is that there will be a change in ship. This would require transferring over existing bookings and cabins to a new ship. Just guessing...
  10. We have had 9 cruises across various cruise lines cancelled this year. The first cruises cancelled were on Princess but, even then, it only took 76 days to get future cruise credits. We only had a small deposit - $100pp - on a cancelled December Crystal cruise. After waiting 60 days from date of refund request (7/31), we disputed the charge thru our credit card company on September 26. Yesterday - November 9 - a permanent credit was applied. We don't believe that we would have gotten our refund so quickly (ha-ha) if we hadn't filed a CC dispute.
