If cruise"critic" becomes nothing but positive comments, then it is useless to future cruisers looking for honest reviews. Otherwise people are misleading readers and future cruisers about the whole experience.
Look, Viking is my favorite cruise line, but they are not my children , and like a parent am blind to problems.

Cochin, India was a major disappointment. Veritable cesspool of trash/litter everywhere, even covering the beaches where we visited the "fresh" seafood market. The stench was unbearable. Fish covered in flies. Shrimp in a tub with no ice....just amazing.
We just did the Seal and wine excursion in Wellington. Rode for 2 1/2 hours to see 3 dozen seals. Then back. Granted the winery stop and lunch was superb. Our driver was scary. Speeding, turning around to talk with us, waving hands to demonstrate. All while blowing through scary mountain pass. And tossing us around in a Toyota mini van.
Viking needs to drop this excursion, or, detail that you will spend over 8 hours to see a few seals, all while risking your life with a crazy driver.
Sorry, but it is 2023. Access to data, home security, bill paying, family contact, etc depend on modern conveniences. Fast internet is not a luxury, but a basic expectation, like HVAC. Especially at these prices.
In the South Pacific. Internet access (Bandwidth) is pitiful. Managers say it is satellite related. Baloney ! Other lines now have very good bandwidth. Spend the money, Viking !
Cannot believe this new ship does not have better bandwidth. Disappointing, to say the least.
