Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Dollar Tree has Wall Decor stickers that work great for cabin door decorations. It may help him to recognize the room if he does get separated.
  2. This place will store your luggage for $5 per bag if you want to explore Galveston for a bit. https://thecruisestoponline.com/
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a furry member of your family. Everyone deals with the grief in their own way, but you might want to consider going on the cruise as a celebration of Candy's life. Use the time to remember what a blessing she was in your life. Maybe you can order some of the little rubber ducks that people like to hide around the ship and create a tag to place around their necks with a photo of Candy and a short tribute to her. https://eastcoastmommyblog.blogspot.com/2019/05/cruising-ducks.html
  4. https://thecruisestoponline.com/ This place in Galveston will store your luggage for $5 per bag. It looks like they open at 9am, so you could have a leisurely breakfast and then see some sights for a few hours.
  5. You could also get some of these collapsible bins from Dollar Tree. Give each person a separate color/pattern and these could be tucked underneath the bed or on the closet shelves for additional organization. https://www.dollartree.com/home-decor/decorative-cube-storage
  6. If you have an Aldi nearby, you might want to try these. They only taste a little bit "winey".
  7. It was the Cozumel Humane Society. Feel free to contact them first, but the last two times we visited we just dropped in. I'll link the volunteer page. They also have an album on their social media page called "Give us a Paw" that has wish list items for donation. If you are docking at the International Terminal or Puerta Maya, the shelter is about a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride. https://www.humanecozumel.org/voluntariado?lang=en
  8. I have been to this shelter as part of my cruise day in Cozumel several times. They do such excellent work. I totally agree that it is a rewarding Cozumel side trip...especially for frequent cruisers that have seen and done almost everything else on the island.
  9. I believe there are some providers in the Chankanaab park that can do discover dives. The rest of your party could sightsee and enjoy the park while she did a dive.
  10. Dollar Tree has wall stickers that are easy to apply and remove from the door. I save the backing that it comes on and reuse the sticker a few times before it becomes damaged. Easy peasy for $1.25.
  11. IslandHppy, were masks required in Cozumel? When I was there a couple of months ago, we were still required to wear them, even when walking around outside.
