Can't go wrong there. I think 417 might be a toll road as well. I try to stay away from that area in general because inevitably, my wallet starts to hemorrhage money, it's a big mess 😂

Yes, SR-417 (the GreeneWay) is a toll road. Much of it from about I-Drive to the Beachline is under construction, so there can be delays.

New to Celebrity and sailing Solstice in July. I see now that I can make dining reservations, but how do we know what time shows might be when choosing? Seems like it’s a bit of a guess when booking without knowing the event schedules. Am I missing something?

Shows are 7 and 9 or maybe 7:30 and 9:30.

    New to Celebrity...

On the 45th day, am I able to select a time (12:30pm) or just assigned one?  TIA

You can choose from the times that are available when you check in.

Just checked ‘ Manage My Booking ‘ via the website and all the reservations I made using the planner are showing …..no effort , quick and easy.

Yes, but more often than not, Apex (as an E-class ship) is all open seating. You may find differently, but really you just need to pick a DR and show up to eat.

Thanks, so if our port arrival time is later can we ask it to be moved eariler?
Also what is "first night discount"?

No, your arrival time is what it is. Check in ASAP and you should be able to get an earlier time.

"First-night discount" is just that: in the cruise planner, you'll see the specialty restaurants offer a discount for booking on the first night of the cruise. Other discounts are few and far between.

  6. You'll check in 45 days in advance. That will get you a port arrival time, when you'll have a quick passport check before you board when the ship is ready (and priority guests have boarded).

    • We dined in Lawn Club Grill last week and enjoyed it. Booked with the first night discount in the cruise planner and used some OBC.

It's for people who want to visit the Kennedy Space Center or one of the Orlando theme parks (yes, I think going to Orlando is a waste of time, too, but...).

A 1-9 port stop makes both of those ideas less than ideal. KSC needs a day, and it closes at 5 or 6. Orlando needs an hour on each end for travel, so that leaves maybe 6 hours for a theme park--also not enough time.

I checked in this morning about one hour after check in opened for my cruise. I got a 10 a.m. boarding time which is the earliest I've ever boarded a cruise ship. Very happy with the time and the check-in process on Celebrity. It is better than NCL and MSC's which is my most frequent cruise providers.

    Just remember it's a check-in time. You won't be boarding at 10 a.m.
