  1. That seems like a lot of work. I haven't changed my "strategies" since before COVID. I get onboard and have a good time. Should an issue arise, I handle it then.
  2. You can probably drop luggage around 10-10:30.
  3. No need on Celebrity anyway: cabins are available for passengers to drop off luggage when they board.
  4. Probably means Port Canaveral, with a post in the FL departures board.
  5. It's a square bar with some stuff in it (like loofah pieces?). I don't think it lathers well as a result. I usually bring a soap pump like the ones from Bath and Body Works for the sink and a bar for the shower.

  7. Chicken and waffles used to be on the Luminae lunch menu. It was good.
  8. Escargot is on the always available menu in the main dining room(s) on Celebrity; it's not a suite (Luminae) perk.
  9. Answered on other thread. 😉
  10. Apex has no set sittings. You can all show up at the time you want to dine.
  11. We had to do monitored tests, not just self tests. Luckily, we passed!
  12. I have won Move Up bids as a solo, so it's not true that solos can't make bids. The bid is per person and the solo has to pay for two, but the offer is available.
  13. Given that most cruises from PE don't require passports, just a government-issued ID will do. We've been asked for our ship boarding passes, though.
  14. You won't have a set dining time automatically. On the E-class ships, all the MDRs are anytime dining. You can (maybe, based on this thread) make an individual reservation for each night. In December, we just showed up at a dining room when we wanted to eat. One night, we waited 5-7 minutes. The others, we were seated immediately.
  15. As with anything, it depends. You can get a decent hotel with breakfast not far from MCO (north of the airport along Semoran Blvd.), with a shuttle to take you there and one to return you to MCO to grab the cruise line's transportation on the morning of the cruise. Most of the shuttles to the port area (not the cruise line shuttles on day of) only make the run to that area earlier in the day, so your decision might be made by the time of your flight. (Of course, there's always Uber/Lyft, but a lot of people here seem to be nervous about that option.)
  16. Probably. See the TA requirements here: https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/transatlantic-travel-requirements
  17. U.S. banks, by and large, still don't issue chip and PIN cards. Maybe the gas pumps have been reprogrammed. I'd rather be asked for my ZIP Code and apologize for tourists' inconvenience. 😉
  18. The PP probably was asked, "Would you like to leave a tip?" (note the reference to cashier, a person who wouldn't know the tip was in cash on the table).
  19. We park at Port Everglades. $15/day, relatively safe (we've seen accidents in the garage, but that's bad driving, not stolen cars), and close.
  20. What port? What are the port arrival and departure times? How long is the tour? What company?
  21. Of course it's a viable cruise port. Galveston has the same issue.
  22. If you want to eat at 5:30, just show up at 5:30. You'll be seated quickly.
  23. I don't leave a tip each night no matter where I dine. 🤔 How do you know they didn't have auto-tips in place?
  24. No. The MDR tea is gone.
