    I’ve found that a 4X8 sheet of plywood that sinks in the middle closely resembles nearly all the beds I’ve experienced on Royal. Maybe try that. 🙂

    I cringe every time I’m enjoying a quiet dinner and all of a sudden I hear “IT’S SHOWTIME!” blasting over the loudspeaker. In my opinion, most of the waiters hate it but do it with a smile on their faces. They’re already overworked and have to drop everything they’re doing and do the obligatory dance routine.

    Normally, there’s a person in the baggage claim area with a sign saying Royal Caribbean who will instruct you where and when to meet the shuttle. You’ll get specific info in your cruise documents.

    I just booked a flight and it shows up as Royal Caribbean, not the airline.

    I should add that right now Royal A2S has a promo with $200 pp additional discount for economy and $500 for first class fares to Europe and $100/$200 off respectively for Alaska fares.

    As above, if you pay for the flight when you book (rather than waiting until final payment date), you can choose your seats immediately. I’ve used A2S twice for transatlantics and saved quite a bit each time as well as having peace of mind that they’ll be there to help if problems arise.

    Went right over my head. I didn’t even think of it referring to April 15th… Especially since I usually end up paying.

    They will unless they’ve added their sneaky little blurb “applies to new bookings only” to the sale price.

    Odd. I called the C&A # yesterday and again today, punched 9 and it was answered immediately. No problems for me.

    Royal is not in business to do us any favors. They will gouge us as long as it’s beneficial to the stockholders. Don’t look for anything to change as long as they’re selling out cruises.

    I’ve noticed Liberty at Galveston many times tanking up with shore water.

    And fill the water tank with vodka. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.

    Don’t get your hopes up too high. I doubt it’s an indicator either way.

    We were on Radiance last Oct for the Panama Canal cruise and missed all ports on the pacific side due to weather and got not port fees returned. I guess they just applied it to the $348k fee to go through the canal…. 😵‍💫

    We were told we had to bring our passports off the ship in Panama Columbia in Nov 2022, but no one ever checked them. That’s the only time it was supposedly required in my experience.

    If you have 7:30 reserved each night at MTD, you can request the same table each night on the first night and it will be no different than traditional dining except for the time.

    I keep a photocopy of the ID page in my billfold just in case but always leave my actual passport in the safe..

    You have to have a birth certificate or passport to board, so no way to “fudge”.
