Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I’m on this sailing too and have chosen not to bid as we are happy with our selection and have the same cabin b2b and do not want to move. We just received our third email offer to bid so I think they are still entertaining additional offers. Edit….sorry. Offer was for Resilient Lady… not Valiant
  2. I think the number one “miss” for them right now is not to have a very aggressive loyalty program. They can change the tier requirements as the product ages but loyal consumers will talk, promote and bring additional people to the brand. They should be offering the world on less than full itineraries, etc.
  3. So my opinion is probably not heavily weighed because I am not an experienced cruiser. My only experience has been a weekend cruise twice for a friends birthday etc. Both times I swore off ever exploring cruising further. Then along came VV. I will tell you why I am about to do my first true vacation on a cruise and why I chose to change my mind and book B2B on the Resilient Lady. I do not need to worry about parents who choose not to watch after their children who are ruining someone else’s experience. I do not need to watch people pile mediocre food onto plates to the point of gluttony. Also being served at questionable food safety temperatures. There is no challenge to hit a max drink package allotment causing far too many problems on board. I am not going to be stopped to take pictures every 50 feet. I am not going to have everyday things as add-ons (wi-fi, premium dining, tips, etc). Additionally, I do not wish to be in a “formal” setting with a more subdued crowd 24x7, or be in my cabin by 10. For me and another couple this brand hit a nitch. I would assume it will with others. I hope it lives up to its reputation but it marketed well enough for us to give it a try.
  4. I don’t know if you want to rule out the millennials and younger not having cash. From what I have been observing there are a large influx that prioritize traveling and experiencing while delaying starting a family. VV might hit that mark.
  5. If you call in to Sailor services they will allow you to pick within the category you have booked. Have a deck plan handy so you can cross reference room numbers. We booked b2b in September and they were very helpful in allowing us to pick our cabin.
