looking for QE Britannia dining room table number map
Chart Room Princess replied to skidroe's topic in Cunard Line
We got the 4 seater table on the opposite side once. We were assigned late dining, which we didn’t want as we were traveling with my young niece. My father spoke to the maitre’d, asking to be assigned early dining, and provided him with a monetary tip. When we arrived at the assigned table we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the table placement as we met many interesting guests sitting at the captain’s table behind us. -
Not necessary to do either. Just bring some scotch tape in your carry on bag and tape the tags on when you arrive.

I have had these cabins a couple of times. The window lets in light but as stated above your view is only across to the other cabin across the way. The interior furnishings are the same as the other interior cabins. I recommend booking the deck 5 atrium view cabins, as the deck 6 cabins are under a galley area. I heard noise of pots and pans all night.

Yes there is generally 1 channel that plays children series and movies. When I was onboard in November 2023 with my niece we watched the children’s programming.

My father is 6’4”. He rented a tux onboard one time. It wasn’t a perfect fit but was adequate. I know that the number of rental tuxes is limited so go right away upon boarding the ship. This is especially important for special sizes. Unfortunately I don’t recall the price that was charged.

I received the survey based on my June 2023 12 night cruise to Northern Europe. The categories on my survey were the exact same ones listed in MylesS’ screenshot above. The examples would list different chosen categories and ask which cruise you prefer and whether you would have booked that cruise or not. I also declined to provide my annual income.

What is frustrating however is that the dress code is not enforced on a consistent basis. I was on the QM2 RT NY to Caribbean cruise that left NY on November 26. From our assigned table in the Britannia restaurant, on numerous evenings, we saw individuals wearing jeans walking into the Britannia Club restaurant. Additionally these jeans are not what many people would call “smart “. I could see that happening the first evening but this happened consistently. Also there were numerous evenings where individuals attended shows in the Royal Court Theatre wearing shorts and tshirts. These situations were not a high percentage of people but certainly was noticeable.

Being on board when her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away. It was humbling to see how her death was honored by Cunard line. Participating in the inter- denominational church service which honored the Queen’s life and death, listening to Captain Hashmi deliver a memorial tribute, signing a book of remembrance and condolences, among other tributes.

Cruising on Queen Victoria with walking difficulties
Chart Room Princess replied to fabnfortysomething's topic in Cunard Line
Maybe Fabforty meant the album that it came from. -
Thanks so much for sharing and keep the pictures coming if possible. I didn’t realize that they were doing such extensive work on the interior. We are staying in deck 8 cabins on the November 26 sailing so it will be interesting to see the changes.

This entire situation is absolutely appalling. It’s not difficult to provide a point of contact for affected individuals to contact. I thank all of you who have been sharing your stories and experiences. Thanks for sharing the pictures too.
-
The situation is truly disappointing. I can’t imagine how upset I would be if I was in your situation. Cunard certainly should have provided a specific person as a contact for all affected passengers. This would not be difficult and certainly would have shown appropriate customer service.

I am from NA and my family has received a survey after every Cunard cruise we have taken. We usually do the survey in the airport as we are awaiting our flight home. Our most recent Cunard cruise was in June 2023. I will see if we receive a survey after our November 2023 Caribbean cruise on the QM2.

Catholic Mass on All Cunard Ships?
Chart Room Princess replied to 2disneydads's topic in Cunard Line
Catholic Mass is only offered every day on the QM2. It is offered on the other ships only during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Holland America offers Catholic Mass on all their ships year round. -
My Cunard agent stated that when you receive the free dining credit that reservation must be booked on board the ship. I don’t know about the Diamond level discount.

QE - removing balcony barriers between 2 cabins
Chart Room Princess replied to newbie202020's topic in Cunard Line
We do this all the time on Cunard. Just ask your cabin steward as soon as you meet them. It is a very simple process. All the steward needs is a simple key to unlock the balcony door separating the 2 balconies. -
Great news. Hope your items are salvageable.

Men's Formal Wear - black patent leather shoes
Chart Room Princess replied to colingu's topic in Cunard Line
I was brought up that a gentleman never wears a hat indoors except for public spaces such as hallways and elevators. -
Has anyone else received this survey on the Cunard World Club? It asks about types of benefits you would prefer in a loyalty club. I received the survey this morning.

LA to Ft. Lauderdale via the Panama Canal on the QE
Chart Room Princess replied to Jack E Dawson's topic in Cunard Line
It’s a wonderful cruise and an interesting experience for the technology of the locks. Spend your day moving around the ship to watch the transit from all angles. Wishing you fair seas and beautiful weather. -
What is her first cruise after the refit? We are joining on November 26 for the NY to Caribbean.

Thanks for posting this information. Interesting that no steakhouse is included.
