  1. I haven't been on Millennium lately but would expect it to be available. I was recently on Summit also post Revolution and the Basketball/Pickleball was still there. They had the nets setup on Summit and balls and paddles were in the benches. A picture from CruiseDeckPlans shows the markings which I believer are Pickleball Al Bacio is the best coffee you will get. They do have Americano which is black coffee. IT is not free. Include with both Classic and Premium packages or al la carte. The free coffee is in OVC and it is pretty tough to drink without putting something like milk in it. I simply call it battery acid.
  2. We will have to do another Alaska for sure. There is so much of Alaska that I want to see.
  3. Right across the street from the Bus / Train station is where virtually All of the Vaporetto's depart (they are more a bus than a Taxi) the average size one holds up to 230 passengers. They also have water Taxis available in front of the station but really expensive at around €100+ but hold up to 12 passengers. Vaparetto tickets cost €7.50 or daily and multiday tickets for 2-day (€30 ), or 3-day (£40) pass. Weekly passes cost €60 euros each. There is plenty of room on the deck for luggage. Many of the hotels hear the Station provide porter service by giving them a ring.
  4. Agree noon would be safe. Generally disembarkation begins at 7:00 for walkoffs , followed by Suites at 7:15 - They also then begin calling numbers. If you are booked on a Celebrity Transfer you will generally meet in the Theater and given a Tour Sicker which equates to your Bus. They call the numbers and you board the bus. The last call is usually 9:00-9:15 so I would expect you to be on a bus long before 9:00 but again that's just "USUALLY".
  5. Yes they do have it but expensive. Last I saw the un-discounted price was 1 Hour of Continuous use $34.00 1 Day of Continuous use $67.00 If a CC member Elite or above you will have minutes of non-continuous time as a benefit and discounts against any internet package.
  6. Cool to hear. I've of course not been on as many Alaska cruises as you and was not offered on the M-Class ships we have always been on. Also only been to Hubbard. I would definitely sign up for that. Was it expensive?
  7. I definitely would call. If they booking is with Celebrity you may actually be able to change your room yourself. You use to be able to do that by going into reservation and choose an option to change. Not sure if you can still do it yourself. I have been successful in the past after being assigned a room to change to one in the same classification - e.g. SS2 room to SS2 room but not to a SS1 without repricing.
  8. You could be upgraded anytime between now and 48 hours to cruise. At 48 hours from sailing time the bids not accepted emails go out. You can be upgraded and I have just before the 48 hours. At 48 hours the manifest to the ship is closed - It is also the deadline to cancel pre-sailing any excursion or other package.
  9. The real only cost is the full amount of your deposit if you cancel and can't use the remaining FCC within one year to book a new cruise. It also get's a little more complicated. If you book a cruise with a NR, and cancel and they issue a FCC 50% to each guest individually.
  10. Nope.. not a typo. How about this for an Iconic Suite - It usually runs 1-3%. Like you said. Why would anyone pay it unless they are very Risk Averse. Iain is very risk averse. He always tells me to book a Refundable after all the problems of the Covid Shutdown. I always book NR and he always reminds me, you are responsible if we have to cancel. I said only if you pay me the difference of fares - I'll take the risk.
  11. Thanks for your live report. Lot's of fun and LOVED the pictures.
  12. If you really want that classification and it is in you Budget I would Book the Guarantee. From the Guarantee I would bid on the next classification also. As others have said they have cabins held out for the Guarantees as well as when they start filling the Bids each upgrades create a chain of people being upgraded. Also as you get close to sailing there will be cancellations and people that come down with Covid or other things.
  13. I usually stop by and meet my new Stateroom Attendant and Butler. I ask my current attendant to let me know when the previous occupants leave their room and then I move the items in my Safe to the new room. You pack up anything in bathroom and drawers but leave all your hanging items in the Closet. The stateroom attendants will move everything while you are doing the B2B processing. B2B process will start around 9:30 and you will probably be released between 10-10:15. You will either be given your new SeaPass of it will be in your door slot. Your room may or may not be completed being refreshed so they ask you to enjoy the public areas. I find the agents try to get the B2B cabins turned pretty quickly and sometimes they are ready by the end of b2b. You have full range of your private cruise ship until general boarding begins. After B2B processing we usually do our regular walking followed by Lunch. We try to stay out of the way of the room attendants so they can get things finalized.
  14. I've never seen any storage anywhere on the ships sun decks or AquaSpa. Most people just leave their things on the Loungers - many do this also as Chair Hogs. If you are concerned about valuable I would leave them in your room or carry with you.
  15. My experience has been that if you book now with a Refundable Deposit via Celebrity - either with an agent or on your own - If you DO NOT transfer to an Agent you have control of your record and can cancel yourself from the website. I just did one recently. If you transfer it to an Agent you have to call the agent to cancel.
  16. Mine was really stubborn and finally required to uninstall the App - Reboot my iPhone - Reinstall the App. My problem was I couldn't see my onboard account. After IT working on it for 5 days they said they referred it to Shoreside - never was fixed. Finally on the next cruise of the B2B it worked again so something wrong with my account. I think the problem was we received a Gratis Upgrade after they closed the manifest. We had to check in with our original room but they gave us the RS instead. On the TV we had the previous occupants name on our screen along with ours.
  17. Another AirTag user and lover them - except when I leave the room and my phone beeps and tells me I left by suite case behind. LOL (You can turn that off)
  18. It is totally possible as no one monitors you after you drop off you luggage. The gating factor is they will not have baggage drop off and porters available until 10-10:30. Your time may be limited as you are required to check in 1 1/2 hour prior to ships departure time, unless otherwise listed. The 11:00 checkin time is your allocated slot (first slot) to checkin for your cruise but you can usually checkin at 10:30 (may not board until 11:00) any time after that.
  19. Which ship and cruise. I just looked at Millennium 17, 2023 on an airline site and showing available and rooms.
  20. Agree -- Hard close and Re-Open and see if that works if Not - then logout - do a hard close and then log back in. That's what the IT guy tried
  21. Depending on your route you can see quite a bit from the SHIP. The Inland Passage Way is a very narrow passageway and I've seen Bear's, Fox and beautiful scenery. Also The Glaciers are only visible from the ship as it doesn't dock or tender at the Glaciers. At the Glaciers the Captain Turns the Ship 180 degrees Port and then 180 degrees Starboard so easily visible from all staterooms. In the ports you would want to go ashore either on your own or an excursion as not much visible from the ship. We have seen Whales while at some of the ports like Prince Rupert Islands and they were breaching alongside the Tenders. Not uncommon but also may be dependent on time of year
  22. Like @jelayne we take many private tours but usually with just the two of us. We definitely tip more on Private tours - probably in the range of 20% of the tours cost. If there is a driver in addition to the guide we usually tip him 50% of the Guide. Ships tours really base it on the tour guide. Usually about $20. We have also had a couple of really terrible guides (on Celebrity tours). Once in France we stopped at the B&B factory and she READ the pamphlet to us that they gave us at the door. Next was a stop at the Alabaster Coast and she said we were on our own tomeet up back at the bus in 3 hours. She had no idea what she was doing. I chose to give her nothing.
  23. On E-Class ships this is not allowed in Blu or Retreat. The kitchens are separated by many floors. You can on M and S Classes but they don't have the En Croute
  24. It would probably be best to call your agent or celebrity and have them reprice your room with a NR Deposit. You can do a mock booking to see what the extra is for the Refundable - You select it as an option and broken out as a PER ROOM rate. If your change at anytime you are charge $100 pp plus the same percentage penalty fee after final payment as Refundable. If you cancel prior to final payment you receive back a FCC in the amount of deposit less $100 pp. The FCC is good for 1 year. Last week a couple days prior to Final Payment a CS opened up and was about $700 less than my CS but was NR. I had them reprice at no cost and reduced my final payment by $700. Since I know we are going to me it was a no brainer.
  25. Check it out here and see the deck plans - you are correct and apologize -- The deck plans are showing 17 decks - I was wondering how they could both be 140600 Tons and missing a deck - Its funny because they both say they are 16 Decks because they don't count Deck 1. Also if you actually count the decks there are only 15 because there is no Deck 13. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/member/Celebrity-Ascent
